TFA says the link to the coupon takes you to "exclusivedeals.africa. com" which is considered to be a dangerous website. I think that is shortsighted--I clicked through, filled out the forms (not sure why they needed my high school mascot and the make/model/color of every car I've owned), then confirmed my identity with my credit card, then they sent me the Krogar coupon for €150 free airtime from Mansour Mobil LTd of Lahore, Pakistan. I feel pretty good about.

Kroger's getting away from issuing paper coupons altogether. Instead, you go to their website and select "e-coupons" for your loyalty card. Gotta bow down to the data beast!

I suppose manufacturers still print their own coupons, but I couldn't imagine how they're distributed without newspapers.

How is a fake coupon image on Facebook a "scam"? Right click, save as, print...and then you get to the store and they tell you to fark off?

Sounds more like a shiatty prank. "Ha Ha! You were embarrassed by giving a fake coupon to the checkout person! LoLoLoL I troll you by making you buy more groceries than you would have bought otherwise! Total pwNage!"

I actually get Meijer coupons in the mail every month and they are for things I legit purchase. I used to get Kroger coupons in the mail, but not nearly as frequently as I used to.

/if Meijer had fuel perks like Kroger, I'd no longer use Kroger

It's pretty sad when local news has to do a "verify" segment like this 'cause of all the dum-dums. I know it started around 2020 for our affiliate because of the covid misinformation... and it really seems like all the segments come down to:

I never did find them very useful and even when there was a "good" one, it just brought the price down to Winco's regular price.
