I had never bothered to flag a social media ad. But started getting one in Spanish on YouTube that IDK if they even vetted. Spooky music, symbols, and they promised to share the money making secrets people like Zuckerberg and Donald Trump used to make their fortunes... the money making secrets of the Jews.

The Jew part wasn't implied. That was the actual statement spoken.

No one is following the money yet?

Content placement isn't free. Did legitimate entities pay for these? Straw buyers? Or crime rings using dark web credit card data?

If I was a national security agency investigating foreign influence radicalizing my citizens, I'd be asking the credit card companies for a dump of all their reported payment fraud with Facebook and Google ads, then demanding the associated content for review.

Sure, half of it is probably "lose weight with this one weird trick" scams, but I'll bet some of it would be illuminating.

Pessimist. I prefer to think "Facebook denied 25% of ads threatening election workers"

Hey remember when the GOP tried repealing Obamacare like 100 times instead of regulating FB, Amazon, Google and Apple?
