This band was so popular they had to tour using an assumed name.

We saw them about a year ago.  I hope that when I'm in my 70s I'm still as active and rocking as hard as they were that night.

/hopefully they were out on the grueling road schedule because they wanted to be rather than needing to be.

Yes. They played Blue Ocean Music Hall in Salisbury Beach not too long ago. I did not go. It was a bit pricy.

Richie has a great youtube channel and his cover band "the band geeks" have some really good stuff on that channel.

The 1980's were not a good time for prog rock.

It's impressive considering two of the guys have been to the band since the early days of the late 1960s.

These days it's Two Oyster Cult, still rocking, and writing songs with H.P. Lovecraft

More 80s goodness off of the same album.
These guys are criminally underrated.

I'll see your rockin '80s artifact and raise you that it was cowritten by one Aldo Nova.

Now that's '80s, brah.

Love that song! You can tell it was written by Aldo Nova.

I, for one, am happy to see the BOC fans still representing.  I loved these guys, saw them at Day on the Green in 1980 and 1981.  Great stuff.  I still occasionally listen to them.

I saw them maybe 10 years ago and they put on a great show.  No frills, just rock. I remember this dude jumping on stage during a guitar solo to air guitar and two other band members got behind him and just ejected him back into the crowd.  Probably something they'd done thousands of time.  Great form.   Dude thought he was gonna crowd surf, but the seas parted and he hit the floor.  Then was dragged away by security.

The band really seemed to be enjoying it.  The crowd definitely was.

My first concert ever...1983 (Blotto opened for them) at St Vincents college.  It was also my last concert 2018 at the Meadows casino.

I was so into them as a teenager that, like nothing else, it brings me back to those days when I hear those crazy lyrics.

Pop and Miracle Whip: Uses the '80's as rocket fuel.

Planet P's "Pink World" was a high point of the era for me.

As was BOC's "Imaginos" album, still in my regular rotation.

As for Planet P, I'm with you on thinking Pink World is their best effort as well. I've always been hopelessly optomistic that maybe Tony would one day do a one off tour and play it front to back.

Best band I've ever seen live. The two elder statesmen are giving the younger members their own spotlights / solos / whatever, and they all hold up well. Last saw them in NYC in September. Crowd ages ranged from 15 to 75.  No one left unsatisfied.

If a group named Blue Coupe ever comes to your area, give them a look.  Former members of Alice Cooper and BOC, and a lot of fun playing tunes from both groups.

Caught these guys live on a triple bill with Joan Jett and Foghat. Foghat went through the motions and collected their check. BOC was Incredible and Joan Jett was electric as always. I had a new found respect for BOC after that show.
