Ehh.  I mean yeah, but it's seemed to me the later Gorillaz output just doesn't stand up to the older stuff.  To be fair, it's one hell of a farking bar to match, but Albarn seems hellbound on poppy uber alles of late, and less about interesting weird stuff.  It was the interesting weird stuff that kept me coming back

One nice thing about today is that I'm a Youtube search away from almost any kind of music I could ever want to hear.

I've been listening to Bowie's discography in chronological order lately, and it's been glorious.  The only downside was that "The Man Who Sold the World" meant 45 minutes of not getting any work done.

Once your list tops 20 entries I feel completely free to ignore it, as there's zero chance you didn't pull more than half of it out of your ass. I also promise the author couldn't identify half of these at a blind listening. This is like those "best death metal" lists where multiple entries have been released for a week, if that.

The music is basic "It's got a good beat and you can dance to it!" with a Puerto Rican flavor. So like a C+. But again, because he's marketable, he gets accolades like "Song of the year". Makes me want to go back and see where Rolling Stone ranked Ricky Martin at the height of his fame.
