Tubi has some decent stuff. You might have to wade through a lot of crap to find it, but it has good stuff.

There's also a lot of cheesy sci-fi and fantasy stuff if improbably attired women fighting bad special effects monsters and/or aliens is your thing.

I think they're saying that seeing all of the recently dead comics that are in the film (Saget, Gotfried, etc) would make them sad.

There is a YouTube channel called "Nick Knacks" that attempts explore every show that ever aired on Nickelodeon.

So far he is up to the early 1990s, and the mini documentaries have been highly detailed.

It's definitely worth checking out.

CBS eh? They're doing a damn fine job of promoting it; I've never heard of it and am used to having streaming services rammed down my throat constantly.

The first time I saw American Movie I really thought it was a mockumentary. Like, no way is this real!  It's so great.

Aristocrats is so farking boring.

Tubi, RokuTV and Pluto are free, but have commercials. I can live with commercials for free, especially at bedtime. Plus they have their fair share of good content, and lots of MST3K and RiffTrax.

That one was awesome. I didn't see any buzz on it when HBO released it in 2020. Thanks to Fark, I heard about it a few months ago and had a blast watching.

I'm a child of the '90s and that sounds right up my alley for these dark winter nights. Thanks! Hulu has a feature length doc called The Orange Years, if you haven't seen that yet.

CBS's Main streaming service is Paramount+

Pluto TV seems to just be a subsidiary they happen to own.

Looks like it's also owned by Paramount.  I know earlier on it was mostly a way to make money off of old syndicated Viacom properties that weren't currently airing on broadcast.  It just built up a base on it's own, though I have seen ads for it.

It's basically split into two parts - one is divided into channels, with schedule, mimicking traditional OTA broadcast TV - browse through a grid style guide and choose what you want, already in progress (no restarting from the start).  Channels are set up by theme, or often dedicated to airing a single show.   They've also added on-demand streaming options, but I've never dug deep into that.  Mostly I like it as something to turn on to watch in the background.

The fact that damn near everyone in it is dead.

I liked Anvil.  They weren't a great band, no.  They were trying to be the big time rock bands they saw, but just didn't quite know how to do it on their budget.

Late to the thread but check out Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead the history of National Lampoon magazine. In the late 1970s that magazine OWNED comedy in the US.  Their live show clips of pre-SNL John Belushi and Gilda Radner are hysterical
