Nintenfreak: Not that much will change with a Warnock victory, but I'll feel a little better about humanity

Warnock winning makes life a little bit easier for the Dems' odds in the Senate in 2024.  Unless things go completely bananaballs between now and the 2024 election, all the GQPers running are in safe seats (yes, even Ted Cruz and Rick Scott), whereas the Dems will have to defend multiple competitive seats in WV, AZ, WI, OH, MI, NV, MT, and PA.

The Dems frankly have better odds of re-taking the House in 2024 than they do for holding control in the Senate.  Warnock winning at least requires the GQP to flip two Senate spots instead of just one.

Pennsylvania won't be competitive. Bob Casey is a lock, just as he's been since he was elected. That seat is his for as long as he wants it. He won his closest Senate election by 9 points.

I tend to agree, but Fetterman just won his seat with 51.2% of the vote to Oz's 46.3%, and Oz was a complete farking charlatan who had no business running for dog catcher, much less Senate.  I don't want to take anything as a given.

An actual majority is a hell of a lot better than a technical majority when it comes to confirmations. No more power sharing agreement needed if tge dems actually have 51.

Even if Walker wins he sets an incredible bar for "worst candidate."

Fetterman has one big disadvantage to Casey:  his last name isn't "Casey".  The Casey family still has a lot of pull.

A Warnack win would be huge, in that it would give Dems committee majorities.

WV, OH and MT will be easy flips for the GOP.  Dems need to focus on the House in 2024.

I listened to Hershel give a bit of a press conference this morning.  The man-however challenged-is running to be one of 100 US Senators, and his little speech was nothing but a string of football terms, analogies, and slang.  Can you imagine what a singularity of derp would be created if he were elected and figured out which senator was "Coach" Tuberville?  I shudder to think about the reputational damage to the Senate.

Warnock winning would really hamper Manchin and Sinema when they want to be obstructionist douchebags. If Warnock wins, both Manchin and Sinema would have to go on the record as obstructionist rather than just one.
