"Infinite scrolling" is just a cheap way for websites to keep you on them for longer by trolling for dopamine hits.

It's almost like the entire Internet is based on emotional manipulation.

Now you're just trying to make me feel bad.

Is there a plug in that turns off infinite scrolling?

Is... is it true?

Could the nightmare be at an end?

As the saying goes: the best place to hide a body is on the second page of Google Search results.

If there is no longer a 'second page', then quality web sites that do not SEO spam might be found again.

Oh, happy day!

Whether there is a second page or not, it does not matter.

The vast majority of people click on the websites in the top 1-3 search results. They will likely continue to do so if there is a second page of search results or if there is a single page with infinite scrolling results.

So, the SEO competition to be in the top 1-3 spots will remain.

Google Image Search already does that, or so I thought.

The TLDR is that your page of Google search results is going to be 6x longer than it is now, 4x on mobile. That's it. That's TFA.

"Continuous Scrolling" just means Google is making the Google results page 6x longer, and 4x on mobile.

I guess that's one way to make the privacy policy link harder to find.

They won't be found either because the first however many seconds of scrolling will still be flooded with the bs stuff, perhaps even the continuous reset where you keep having to start scrolling from the top over and over

Did they know all the relevant results will fit on the first page if they just removed the promoted results, the sidebar, the 'People Also Ask' Quora/Yahoo section I never need, the 'people also search for' section that I also don't need, the twitter section showing any relevant tweets with my keyword, and the possible image results?

Someone should tell them we could fit TONS of results on the page if that shiat wasn't on there.
