Nobody asked for?  Sure, with you on that.

Nobody wanted?  Eh, I'm mildly curious.  The "funk" thing is absurdly dated, but it could be a harmless kids/family thing.  I wouldn't be the target audience, but I'd still like it to be done well.

Nobody remembered?  I'm with Subtonic on this one.  Genesis kids remember.

We came so close.  Alas, was never able to pass that game.  Kid Chameleon was another one.  Kids these days have it too easy with the save games.  We had to leave the damn thing on all night and continue playing the next day.

I think Hollywood is looking to make movies/TV shows out of certain games b/c the old fart Millenials remember the music so strongly. First Streets of Rage, now this. Do Sub-Terrania and Descent and I'll suck your cock probably go watch it.

Kid Chameleon was rage inducing at times. And you never really knew when or how it was going to end.

Make another Sonic movie with Jim Carrey. Sonic 2 was A+ hilarious.

Great game! There was a kickstarter a few years back that created a new one based (mostly) on the first and had elements of the next two. Still super fun, super classic, and a great way to spend an afternoon. Not really looking forward to a movie of it, but will support in hopes to boost more games from the same studio.

It's dreadful now realizing the real difficulty of most old games was the fact that you had to do it all in one go.

I definitely remember. Spent a lot of hours two player on TJ&E.

But I don't care about a show. However a new game might be cool. Really lean into couch co-op like it takes two.

As I recall the playable characters were incredibly slow and bound to cardinal directions whereas the enemies could move relatively fast and often in any direction. The trick was to understand the enemy movement pattern and try to avoid their invisible attack zone.

Except the mad dentist, he was a capricious god of death.

While exploring the map looking for your missing spaceship parts, trying to escape earth, you could occasionally pick up a weapon or movement boost. But the movement boosts were hard to control and often dropped you off the map and forced you to repeat the previous level(s).

It was a terrible game, diabolical in its difficulty, and maddeningly slow. And i played the shait out of it with my buddies.
First time I ever stay up all night (went to sleep at 6AM), my buddy Josh and I swore were were going to beat it.
It beat us instead.

I remember playing that game with my brother. It was amusing, not very difficult though. As long as you avoided the mailboxes, everything else could be fairly easily dodged if I remember correctly.

I was just trying to remember how it ended - and if I ever beat it. I know I played it a lot and enjoyed the quirkiness enough that it made up for it being largely pointless.

My roommates played it, but I was heavily into the NHL series and Madden at the time, so I didn't take it up.

Once you find the last spaceship part, you fly away from Earth back to your home planet. As you're flying through space, the credits roll. Once you land on your home planet, you walk to your house, passing friends who all cheer you along the way until you finally make it to the end where your family is hanging out. You can wander around your home planet all you want but there's not much there. No hidden easter eggs from what I remember. Not the greatest video game ending and not the worst I've ever seen.
