I am fundamentally against jailing non violent offenders. His life is farked, and he'll be constantly watched by the state I would assume. big ol who cares from me.

Ummmmmmm.....you realize how easy it would be to turn you into a wreck of a human being with some very simple non violent means?

Sure? That doesn't mean no legal recourse. Just don't jail everyone who commits non violent crimes.

Sports stars don't always choose money managers who look out for their best interests.  Also they are also pressured by friends to invest in their businesses which are not always well managed.

You know who else in Germany only spent nine months in prison of a five year sentence?

Sorry but no.  Some dude steals the life savings of thousands of people, ruins their finances and he just walks? No, that guy is more of a menace than any gang member.

Then they should face similar, financial/social, consequences. Why burden taxpayers with a pointless jail sentence. He won't be rehabbed. Nothing will change what he did. I would argue stripping these kinds of criminals of their wealth is worse than a prison sentence (which they barely serve anyways). Pay reparations until you die, and maybe become a good person along the way.

Having to spend 8 months among chuds who use phrases like "across the pond" is punishment enough.

It doesn't help when you have an unprotected  quickie with a waitress in a restaurant broom closet and have to pay child support for the resultant offspring.
