Police say a student was instead carrying computer equipment, not a gun.

Was it Hunter Biden's Laptop?

You'd hope that in a school setting a student's assumption on seeing an object he isn't sure about would be that it was some sort of educational tool. Routine school shootings haven't changed attitudes, this incident won't change attitudes. But there ought to be days when NRA members and people in the gun industry read the news and realize that they're really farking up their country and need to atone with U-turns on what they want.

Point of contrast, people with serious cocaine problems: Many of us knew people. Word spread quickly and a lot of people got smarter and stepped back from their usage after hearing what happened with Steve. The gun people run out and buy more guns every time a gun tragedy hits the news!

Been in IT for over 20 years.  I am having difficulty imagining a power adapter, power strip, or anything power related that looks like a firearm.

45 years ago, it was common to see a rifle in the back window of every pickup truck in a high school parking
lot, and school shootings were unheard of. Yeah, I know I'm old.

Counterpoint:  people still go out and inject the marihuanas even after hearing what happened with Becky.

It does when you watch too much Fox News.

With the amount of school shootings there have been, I can see how students are jumpy and seeing things that are not there. This is the culture we live in now. It's not the responsibility to the NRA, lawmakers, police, parents, or schools to keep kids safe, but the students themselves.

I know that kids today have to be aware of the Problem Child.  It's not like it used to be, where you'd get the Jack if you called somebody a squealer. Nowadays, thouyh, you just gotta say, "Gimme a Bullet to Bite On", and ride on. Hopefully the love hungry man will run into a night prowler and it'll be a touch to much for both of them before someone manages to sink the pink.  Sure like to be a fly on the wall for that conversation. Yeah, if you're in high school today you gotta have big balls. Keep a stiff upper lip, kids. It's not even a matter of who made who any more, but of how the moneytalks.
