I saw BARE LEGS!

It actually looks like a lot of fun, which I can only take to mean it was extremely dangerous, which is why we don't see rides like that anymore.

If Action Park didn't have one, you KNOW it's bad.

My grandparents used to go there before I was born.
At some point long after it was torn down I found someone selling Riverview memorabilia including Ride Tickets so I bought some.

When my grandfather passed, I gave my grandmother 2 tickets to The Tunnel of Love.
I couldn't attend the funeral so I told her to slip one ticket into his casket and hold on to the other one.  Later I framed it so she could put it on her dresser.

I told her I would make sure she had that ticket when it was her turn and then the two of them could go on the Ride together.

TBH, the only stereotype I believe in when it comes to driving involves people with Asian heritage.

CSB: In high school I had a friend whose mother was from Taiwan.  Behind the wheel she was basically the woman in the "Family Guy" clip.  I rode in a car when she was driving once, ONCE.

Heh.

Although I believe that stereotype applies to men and women.

During my sophomore year of college, my roommate was originally from South Korea...he has attended high school in California.

Anyhow....

One day is driving three of us to have dinner in Koreatown (Los Angeles)...his treat.  Unfortunately, he rear-ended a guy at a stop light...totally my roommate's fault.

Thankfully, nobody was hurt and the damage was minimal...just a fender bender, and the guy who got hit was cordial given the circumstances.

T shaped bracket, brake is basically a clamp that chomps down in a few places. But people keep refusing to wear belts, so it's just not safe with the hoi palloi we have these days.

I believe that if you can't see the top of the person's head over the back of the driver's seat that person will be a bad driver.

The stereotype applies to middle eastern women too.

CSB: Once upon a time I used to work from an office building.  At lunch I'd drive to a park with a pretty large parking lot, park under the shade of a tree and eat my lunch.   The city where I worked had a large middle eastern population.  Women weren't allowed to drive in many of the countries these families immigrated from so they'd have to learn as adults.  Their husbands would help them practice in the parking lot.  Invariably, there would be a couple laps where it looked like this would happen.

I find that anyone with a bumper sticker or emblem regarding their religious beliefs is automatically a horrible driver. It doesn't matter if it's a cross, star of David, something praising Allah, Jesus or Buddha or even proclaiming their atheism I have never seen one that was a decent driver. Next time you're on the road keep an eye out for them. You'll see I'm right.
