His videos are Allright.  I saw one where he went into a department store and bought their entire inventory to give to homeless shelters and whatnot.  Due definitely spends money.

So weird, he's basically Youtube Brewster's Millions.

I don't watch his stuff but its crazy to see a new video be up for hours and have 10+ million views.

Never watched any of his videos, but was at the store this weekend and saw he has a line of snack foods out.

That's how he makes money too. There is a documentary about how he rose to the success he did, but for many years, every time they made money they turned it around into giveaways and games and made even more.

Rumor is that his Squid Games recreation cost $2-3 million just to build and put on.

There are some.  Another guy walks around and finds homeless people who could use help.  Asks them what they need.  He themn takes the. To a store, restaurant, whatever, and buys them what they said they needed, and then some, usually plus a few hundred dollars or so and then asks for a handshake or a hug.  NOTICE:  he does ask them to sat a quick prayer with him (that he keeps really brief), so Farkers can lash out all they want at that part.

Seems like a good guy.  I genuinely hope he doesn't turn out like so many other young new media stars.

I don't lash out at the prayer. I lash out at his exploitation of the homeless, so that he can parade them for his camera, brag about his "charity", while making money off of the least fortunate. If his motive was to actually help them, he'd do it off-camera.

But then he wouldn't have money coming in and the homeless guy gets nothing.  I have no idea what the line is in the great cosmic scale of things but that can't be better.  He may even inspire people to do more, help in little ways.  Or watchers might just decide, "that YouTube guy has got it, I can go back to watching reels and eating Cheetos with chopsticks".

If he's helping the homeless with YouTube money, not making videos would kind of crash the whole process.

Eh, I'd want to know how much of the YouTube money is going to the homeless, and how much is lining his pocket. Sounds like the typical Evangelical preacher act, bragging about charity while buying private jets.

Why does that matter?  When's the  last time you went out, met a homeless person, fed, clothed, bought them tents or whatever, then handed over a grand so they could get along for a while?  He's helping people out no matter what.  I don't think he's jetsetting around the globe just by his videos all sem to be in the same (or similar) location.  I think your priorities might be a bit off.

To put into perspective just how many people and YouTubers are in this world...  I watch YouTube all the time.  I probably watch 2 hours a night.  And I never EVER heard of Mr Beast until my son was telling me that he and his girlie were going up north to the opening of his newest burger place.

This dude is the single biggest YouTuber of the whole lot of them.  And not once did their algorithm see fit to show me one of his videos.

Maybe it's because most of my viewing is popular science, late night comedy, and shiatloads of guitar stuff.

Reminds me of the movie "They Shoot Horses Don't They" with all the last one with their hands off wins this or that. Maybe he should try dance contests for a change or water drinking contests.

Like with all YouTubers, his crash will be as meteoritic as his ride.

I'd never watched any of his stuff, seemed too ckick-baity and unrelated to my interests. the revenue is mind blowing and if I had that much I would quit and go live a kick-ass life of liesure, punctuated with charity giving.

I would like to make something more out of my channel and monetize it but my jam is playing covers and I don't think I can monetize that.

Still, I have some videos with views in the thousands, and about three hundred people I never asjas, subscribe to my channel. That's impressive to me, small as that is, because I have put zero effort into it so far.

When I get out from under handling my late mom's estate affairs and gotten my dusabdis brother into prooep housing, i'd like to try and grow a channel that makes a small income just from me having fun.

It's personal profit via calculated and leveraged philanthropy, he's pretty open about the formula. It/he does make my nose wrinkle because I get the feeling that he's a sociopath working a system, but on the other hand I'm not sure his motives really matter, as long as there is some genuine charity being done from youtube videos/dollars.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I definitely don't watch 2 hours a day, but I watch product reviews, movie trailers, a few podcasts, and the occasional tutorial video to fix whatever widget I broke, plus whatever random YouTube links I click on Fark that pollute diversify my watching history. But this is only the 2nd time I've ever heard of this guy, and both times were on Fark.

No, in fact (again from the documentary), he's largely an anti-consumer. He doesn't really want or need nice cars or a huge house. In fact, he created a secondary YT channel that is 100% non-profit and runs a foodbank. His plan is to launch food banks across America ultimately.
