I'll have to try Popeyes sometime, I've heard it's alright.  The closest one is about 6 hours away though

It's good for what it is, that being fast food chicken.  I'll take it above CFA, KFC, yada yada.

But it's still fast food chicken, meaning it'll be hard to convince me to go 6 minutes out of my way to get it, let alone 6 hours.

That's why fish & chips hasn't come wrapped in newspaper for nearly 50 years

I catch fish, I don't eat them, I assumed they stopped but wouldn't be able to tell you when. :)

As an old Brit, I would guess about 1975. It was one of the first EU conspiracy theories "damn foreigners stopping us from our customs", when in fact, the reason was a. newsprint is toxic, b. grease from chips loosens the print onto your fingers. C. people then lick their fingers and ingest the print and poison themselves

I'm going to just assume that the print off the Sun, Mail, and Mirror were way more toxic and caused more brain damage than the ink from other publications.

That sounds about right. I've spent many an hour in a print shop and holy hell the fumes alone are intense.

I had a Popeyes about 5 minutes from my house when I lived in Raleigh. I didn't eat it on the regular, but I do believe it's the only fast food I've ever missed having around.
