I keep forgetting that Cheese Nips are not as good as Cheez-Its despite Cheese Nips' dreamy, sensually-charged allusions to areola and more competent spelling, which keep drawing me back to them.

Cheez-Its Extra Toasty..... Yum!

Cheez-Its have farking sucked ever since Kellogg's bought Sunshine Bakery in 2001. They changed the recipe to be more cost-effective, and now it's got less cheese and a lot more oil. Yecch.

ProcrastinationStation: Cheez-Its Extra Toasty..... Yum!

Never worked up the nerve to try those. I do like the Extra Cheesy.

Try the Extra Cheesy. It tastes to me more like my memories of when Cheez-Its were good.

Exile On Beale Street: The white cheddar is yummy.

I remember when those came out. They were pretty darned good. Less so now, mainly because I like some of the other newer flavors such as Pepper Jack or Hot & Spicy or Four-Cheese Italian better. I actually find the Kroger store brand of white cheddar cheese crackers to be better than White Cheddar Cheez-Its at a much lower price. Crav'n (another store brand in other grocery stores) on the other hand tastes like cardboard that'd had some White Cheddar Cheez-Its sitting on it.

I will admit to being a Cheez-its fan.

My kids will eat Goldfish crackers like there's no tomorrow but won't touch Cheez-Its. They like the generic/off-brand Cheez-Its that's given at daycare snack time.

The Aldi knock-off version is very good.

LOL, brap, you're a treasure.

I also came here to remind everyone how much better Cheez-Its are than Cheese Nips but you have outperformed anything I might have contributed.

There is a set of 2 year old triplets down the block who come and visit with us a few times a week. I bought a box of Goldfish snack sized bags, probably 40 or 50 small bags of regular flavor so I can give them a bag each when they come over.

I admit that I have commandeered a few bags for myself on occasion. The kids really like them and our dog likes to see the kids too because they are always feeding him or dropping Goldfish all over the porch. They are a perfect snack for little hands (and old dogs).

Although my current medical diet prohibits it, my favorite American cracker cheese combo is triscuits with extra sharp Kraft spray cheese.

As for cheese flavored crackers I seem to remember Christie's Swiss Cheese Crackers to be the tastiest.

Having three two year old pups visit for goldfish sounds awesome!

It's funny when people bring four month old pups to the park for the first time and they are always saying sorry to people as the little furry bastards greet everyone and everydog they meet. I always tell them to come back tomorrow, I'm taking this dog home for the night. They laugh at first, then cautiously giggle, until I shoot them a gotcha finger like Isaac from the Love Boat.

Cheez-its stand above the rest.  Every flavor is good.  Where's the pepper jack these days? I haven't seen that one in a minute.  The spicy ones are still good, the white cheddar is more than decent, and the toasty ones are magnificent.

Big cheez-it is the gold standard, though.  That right there, thats "my box" of cheez its.  I think it's the extra salt on each cracker that makes them the best?

i can not keep them in the house, because they won't last more than 2 days... and I live by myself.   At least if i want my weight to be stable, they're a once a month purchase.

Same. I can't tell you the last time I bought them, because if I do they *might* last a day.
I think they might be putting crack in them.

I was hoping they would review Cheese Nips to see how they ranked because I'm not going to find out for myself with Cheez-Its right next to them on the shelf.

Not anymore. I think Nabisco finally gave in and discontinued Cheese Nips a few years ago, after a plastic contamination recall. It's a shame because Cheese Nips were baked and made with real cheddar, vs. regular Cheez-Its which are fried and made with inferior American cheese.
