Severance was amazing.

Rings of Power is on the list? Why? It was poorly written. Dull. The Game of Thrones prequel was better (and I wasn't crazy about that one either).

I love BCS, but that wasn't its best season and Severance really was great.  Guess I need to watch Bear.

Because The Bear came out of nowhere, didn't get much hype leading into its release, and was unexpectedly amazing.  I started watching when it first came out and loved that every episode made the show better, even if the end of the season was a tad bit contrived.

On that list, of the shows I've watched, I'd probably swap out Ms. Marvel for Only Murders in the Building, even though Ms. Marvel was probably the best thing to come out of a decidedly mediocre year for the MCU.  Granted, Ms. Marvel had a similar issue to a lot of shows from 2022, in that its final episode was a disappointment, but everything up to that point was quality.  Only Murders in the Building was a hell of a lot of fun and I can't wait for Season 3.

Regardless, this was actually a pretty good list, slideshow aside.  You can make a compelling case for every show in the Top 10 being the best show of the year.  I'd probably give the nod to Reservation Dogs, but that's just my personal preference.

Of those listed, I've seen Slow Horses, Andor, and The Bear.Really enjoyed all 3 and would definitely recommend.

I'm glad "Industry" is on there. As much as I like "Succession", "Industry" is more of an on-the-ground look at the finance/brokerage sector. As someone who spend years in that life, the cutthroat and indulgent lifestyle portrayed is freakishly accurate.

The comparison of For All Mankind as similar to Game of Thrones in its savagery is interesting to me, if only because I tend to think of Game of Thrones as a show entirely of the darker shades of grey (everybody just wants security, but is willing to massacre people to get it) and For All Mankind as entirely of the lighter shades of grey (everybody wants to do what's right, but screws up consistently along the way), but undoubtedly the body counts of the two have some parallels

In my opinion, The Boys should be in the top 10.  Also, where is Yellowstone?  It is a fantastic show.  It's not JUST about cowboys, ropin and ridin.

Loved The Bear. It deserves the top spot for all the reasons they say. It didn't aim too high, it just delivered the goods.

Everyone around me loves Andor but I've been struggling through it and can't seem to find a way to like it. I'm sticking with it only because my fellow Star Wars fans say it's amazing. I'm at the part where he's in prison assembling stuff and, well, it's pretty boring even with the electrified floors.

I enjoyed 1883. It was The Oregon Trail brought to screen. Wait, was that this year or last year that it came out?

I actually liked that. Without the constraint of squeezing into 44 minutes, they could take their time and tell the story right.

Mo was sweet and got better. I am a fan. I saw him live in a very early open mic night, and even as a teenager he shined with talent. I hope the show gets a second season, it has room to grow.

I did not like Houston when I first moved there in the late 1990s. It grew on me, and remains the most wonderfully weird big city I have ever spent a lot of time in. It is such a great backdrop.

As much as Wednesday had some really great moments, it was basically a tween school drama from the harry potter mold stuffed into a goth repackage and overtly designed to last many seasons.

Wednesday turns 16 during the school year.

My only complaint about the show was that she arrived mid-term and almost completed the school year. In Vermont. Have the creators ever been to northern Vermont in the winter?

I think it's more like that they don't want you to forget that space is dangerous, and that it isn't going to be one of those shows where the main characters experience disaster every week, but nobody ever seems to die.

I loved the first two seasons and thought that this season was dreadful.

And while I know it's not high-falutin' quality stuff, I really enjoyed most of the most recent Stranger Things season (but I'll concede that there was a decent amount of meh material that would keep it off this list).

I finished The Peripheral last night.  It should not be on this list, and thankfully isn't.   I also started watching Tom Hardy in Taboo.  And while that was 2017, it was so farkin' good it should get five years of bonus points.

Andor is awesome.   Peacemaker was awesome.  Rings of Power was really good.  The Boys is fantastic.   Harley Quinn surprised me with how well done it was.   Better Caul Saul was the highest rated thing on the list I've seen, and it should be #1.

I haven't seen anything else.

I generally liked it, but I can't get past trying to make a terrorist child murderer a sympathetic character.   Had she stabbed him in the throat at the second opportunity, it would have been a much better show.

Andor was one of the things I watched last week while out sick. It was way better than I thought it would be. It took an episode or two to get going ( or at least for me to get into it) Very engrossing storytelling.

Arcane was fantastic.  The Peripheral was bad.   Sandman was not my thing, but I can understand why other people would like it.
