Bob was always pleased that no one ever tied him to the death of Mr. Hooper. The 1970s were an easier time for murder.

Looking at the size of the Big Bird costume, somewhere out there has to be a clip of the puppeteer inside tripping over part of the set he couldn't see, followed by  "Oh shiat!" on his way down.

I had a little Playskool Mr Hooper and I slept with it for a while after he died.

I have video of Snuffy knocking shiat over. That is the costume that really blinds the operators.

similar age for me.  Funny thing.  my toddler brained take away from this episode was that people die so babies could be born and i had a younger bother born two days before the episode aired so i spent a couple days worried someone i knew was going to die.  what can i say, little kids are stupid AF
