That was just some lady talking.

Anyway, I wish they would clean up the animation for the next movie.

They won't.

It's the style of animation.

Cluttered and scratchy.

I can appreciate people calling it loose or maybe even unfinished (a lot of scenes don't do the black character outline a lot of people are used to). I can appreciate people not looking cel shading, which this looks similar to. Even people who don't like the color dots they did in some scenes.

Scratchy is not a very apt description. I've seen some anime that description would fit... But not spiderverse.

But spiderverse was fluid, clean lines, etc. Considering how they did then digitally for the most part, this makes sense.

I can accept cluttered I suppose, there are definitely scenes that had a lot going on, and it was vivid and bold.

Yes. That was a lady just talking and speculating about image sequences and stills.

I got through maybe 90 seconds before closing it.

If it's the same creative team, they've probably earned enough trust to think they can handle diverse animation styles.  If it's not?  Sure.  biatch and moan away....

I just gotta say, I first saw Into the Spiderverse on my old HD TV, and while I thought it was interesting enough, it was just another cartoon movie.

Watched it again in full 4K on the new, larger OLED set and not only did it jump off the screen, the level of detail in the animation made it seem like a whole new movie.

Looking forward to the new one.  I don't expect miracles, but it will be a visual treat.
