Talk softly and carry a big stick versus yell and have a small dick. Did I do better than TFA?

Bull Moose party as a splitter.   Not that far off.

This isn't the CNN you knew.

It's John Malone's now:

Trump and Roosevelt don't need to be equal for them to be in the same news story.

But putting Trump and Roosevelt in the same news story is a step towards perceiving them equal.

The Bullshiat Moose party.

I thought the article made a case for the aptness of the comparison, but, I also think during calm days, we should run wind turbines in reverse to put the wind back.

TR may have been a narcissistic bull moose but at least he was competent. The man respected the Constitution, accepted defeat in '12 and left. It has been said he would have run on the GOP line again in '20 if he had lived. His biggest mistake was not running again in '08.

I mean...Teddy did have a cult of personality too. However....his personality was not that of Cuck L'Orange...

Given Roosevelt's farknuttery in the Spanish-American War, killing the shiat out of brown people and rounding them up at the border, hell yes they are comparable pieces of shiat.

2022-12-04 4:51:08 PM
They are talking about the Prog/Bull Moose party, and it's true.  I remember it from high school American History.  Why not a comparison?

And actually, considering that a retired Teddy would stand on his front porch and tell everyone to go murder German immigrants, there is a good reason for comparison in that context also, just a different type of immigrant.

He also created the national park system, earned the hatred of the oligarchs by being a dedicated trust-buster, made consumer protection and food safety national priorities, was physically courageous, and fought in a war

And the reason he didn't run in 1908 was respect for the precedent that a President should not serve more than 2 terms (he served almost all of what would have been McKinley's second term.)  He would have easily been re-elected in 1908.

TR wrote more books than DT has read.

2022-12-04 4:56:45 PM
TR's treatment of the poor, immigrants, and anyone with melanin, generally, was better than average for someone born into a "bold print" family in the 19th Century, and for a turn of the 20th Century POTUS. And while he was a loudmouth and a narcissist, he also worked diligently over his entire adult life to cowboy with actual cowboys, box with actual boxers, fight alongside actual soldiers, police with actual policemen, and so on. If TR and TFG were stranded naked in an artic wilderness, TR would have walked out weeks later wearing TFG's thick orange pelt and picking his teeth with is bone spurs. As for TFG, he shares all of TR's backward and regressive beliefs despite a full century of civilization and progress between the two of them.

There are only superficial similarities between the American Lion and the Orange shiat Gibbon. Theodore wasn't perfect by any means but to even begin to compare him to that rancid anal stain is a grave disservice to his legacy. If i could travel through time, I'd try to talk Teddy into coming back with me... so I could watch him beat the ever loving shiat out of cheetolini. I don't think it would take a lot of encouragement from me to precipitate that epic beatdown either.

Bull Moose vs. bullshiat?

I would be willing to have TFG go on a rugged expedition into the wilds of the Amazon.

Trump will always be the biggest mistake in American political history and really doesn't deserve comparison to any past Presidents ..

Theodore was never big on the whole "corruption" thing... He'd probably punch Trump right in the nose five minutes after they were introduced, were that possible.

/Would kind'a love to see that, honestly
//It's too bad there was no " Theodore's ghost" floating around in the White House while TFG was there
///Ghost could have done us all a solid by haunting the jerk into oblivion

One could read and write.
One continued a speech after he'd been shot.
One was was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor in 2001 for his actions in Cuba.
One created the Interstate Commerce Commission.
First U.S. citizen to receive a Nobel Peace Prize.
One wrote his own damn books.

The other is a waste of hamberders.

I don't know. Women's suffrage passing and then women going out and immediately electing corrupt as fark Warren G Harding was pretty sad.

The Trust Buster vs. the embodiment of corporate evil. The founder of national parks and wilderness preserves vs the guy that tried to give them all away for oil fracking.

Yeah, easy mistake to make.

Teddy Roosevelt likely isn't the 'hero' the way most here think of that word.

If were alive today and running for office, ya'll would hate him.  You'd probably hate Abe Lincoln too.

More vapid than Reagan
More actual Nazis employed in the White House than, well, anyone
Fewer days working than Harrison

It's just like Lincoln and Kennedy.
Some quick facts:

The same way Kennedy drove a Lincoln, and Lincoln drove a Ford, Ford drove a Kennedy.

The same way Lincoln's wife was named Mary, and Kennedy married a woman named Jackie, and then JFK died, while nicknamed "Jack" - both were assassinated by a guy named James Oswald Booth, who then left a widow named...that's right, Mary!

THEN, Kennedy had a dog named Ford, but Ford had a dog named Lincoln. Lincoln had no dog, but was know to inexplicably yell out, "Kennedy" in the middle of the night. True stuff.

ALSO, Lincoln died in Ford's Theater, Ford died in Kennedy's Theater, and Kennedy died in his own theater but they won't tell people that, even though they will say he was shot in Texas, which has many theaters, undeniably.

All of it's true. So I totally believe this other stuff about Roosevelt and Trump having secret gay ghost sex.
