The only Amazon ads I've seen lately are the ones about how great it is to work at Amazon. Call me crazy, but I suspect they may be a teensy bit less than truthful with that.

That sounds suspiciously defensive. Like DeSantis coming into the office.

"Good morning, sir"

"I'M NOT GAY!!"

You mean Twitter still works?  I thought they were going under weeks ago.

There's an antitrust bill that would probably pass if Schumer put it on the floor.  All anyone cares about is culture war, and stupid slapfights on the media's online playground.  Of all the awful shiat Amazon is engaged in, who cares if they advertise on Twitter?

There's no telling if Musk will use his own money to keep it on life support. Or who knows. maybe it's not in that much trouble;

I saw the movie "Nomadland", but I'm currently reading the book the movie is based on. The book goes into more detail about how Amazon exploits the people who live in mobile housing due to financial hardships.

I'd be surprised if Amazon didn't advertise on Twitter.

What is Twitter using now?  Or are all the advertising orders still good for a month or so.  They could also be burning their credit line like there's no tomorrow, but I suspect it would disappear long before that.

I'd assume that whatever funds they are using, they are mostly "Musk's own money".

Except that apple never stopped advertising, Musk was lying.

That was a month ago, and Musk lies.

Recent reporting has Twitter running fire sale pricing for ads and less interest in that.

Amazon and Apple realized that big mouth activists don't buy products ... ordinary people streaming to Twitter to support Freedom of Speech do.

Fark needs to hope it's advertisers don't figure that out too.

Tangentially related if you'd like to take your Amazon boycott to the next level and actively cost them money... They are giving $100 credits for new shoes when you sign up for a warehouse job, they give you 8 hours of auto-approved PTO as soon as you clock in for training, and you can resign from the website.

Fark's advertisers need to figure out that their ads are annoyingly placed on the page on mobile, and that using the headline for keywords probably won't result in added sales.  But none of that will cure your idiocy or not understanding what freedom of speech really is.

They gave me $150 just for interviewing and an additional $75 for being vaxed, took an hour from the time I left my door to when I sat down for lunch with my daughter, afterward. We had a nice lunch.

Two days ago, I was looking for an item to buy for my parents for Christmas. Search was by model number. Found it, added it to wish list at $45. Looked again today, and it is now $55. They seem to do this regularly. Sometimes cleaning the browser gets you the lower price. Sometimes using a different laptop will.
Fark you, Amazon. Source of last resort, when you don't want to try used on eBay.

Twitter is over!

"downloads have increased" could just mean that "the Nazi's are (re)installing the app and flooding (back to) twitter in droves" which is NOT a good thing for the long-term viability of Twatter.

downloads alone are a meaningless statistic unless you also count the number of people leaving, which is much harder to enumerate for outsiders.
