There's no way any Republicans fell for something as obvious a scam as FTX. It's simply not in their nature to blindly follow get-rich-quick schemes.

When you steal $1 thousand, you're a thief. When you steal $1 million, you're a con artist. When you steal $1 billion, you're a "job creator".

Yep, they will grill this guy about as tough as Hannity would grill Trump. They don't want to upset him and have him start talking about what his political "dark money donations" were supposed to buy him. We definitely can't let the public find out about any deals from that.

Democrats only control the House for another month. She can try to get him to speak with the committee by asking nicely, or she can issue a subpoena which he can certainly fight long enough for Republicans to take over and revoke it.

It really depends on who you steal your billion dollars from. Rich people would REALLY rather you stole your billion dollars from poor people and not them.

And the convenient 6 years it will take for his trial to be rescheduled and delayed and relocated surely won't impact the delivery of justice.  I'm sure they'll put him in the newly built FTX Prison, paid for by a generous donation from the Bahama equivalent of the SEC

"We've set up a system where the baseline assumption is that nothing short of, I don't know, full-on in-person murder can disqualify an elite political or business figure from their posting. And that means that people like the Trumps will continue to believe that criminality and collusion are just fine. Unless we're willing to break down that system, and interrogate the role that even Trump's enemies have played in building it, we will get two, three, many Trumps in the future.

We all could. Unfortunately, we never do.

His "consequences" here involve living a billionaire lifestyle for a few years and now getting to retire to the Bahamas as a multi-millionaire who will never have to work again.

So, there is a dark way to buy politicians give money to campaigns?  That can't be traced?

So how do we know he gave any dark money, and why would we believe a crook and their?

Also we should fix the dark money loop hole.

Problem solved.

Also gitmo this guy.  Or let him thunderdome against all he stole from.  One at a time, but consecutively.  If he survived, let him free.  The way of blood is true.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse unless they are rich, then you have to prove that they intended to break a law.
If they are wealthy ,then you need to have remote access to their brain. I'm sure that looks like justice to the white moderate.

We are gonna need some blood wizards to counter the incantations of incorporation, that allows the lawyers to summon noncopereal golems to protect their masters from lawsuits.

The golem of PG&E immolated people, not the meat that runs the company.  So they can't be prosecuted.

The non coporeal golems must be banished from the realm.

He "only" paid $260 of those pallets. The rest was other rich people and debt that Twitter now owes. Amusingly, that debt is already selling for 60 cents to the dollar. And that was weeks ago (November 10th). Its probably worth less now.

Yeah, and Daphne Anne Caruana Galizia was murdered with a car bomb after her reporting about the Panama Papers. The results for these thieving billionaires should probably be closer to that.
