Farking Clown Shoes: Pay them in bitcoin

Somebody's got to do the paperwork. Better them than me.

Eh, bankruptcies aren't as profitable as divorces.

There are a few exceptions. The two GQP committee members who refused to certify the Cochise County election results couldn't find a lawyer. To quote one: "What they did is clearly illegal and it would be suicide to take the case."

You proved the headline.  No profit, no lawyers.

Maybe the real crypto treasure was the lawyers we befriended along the way.

My loca news can't explain what a crypto currency or a crypto exchange even is but it sure can cover Bankman-Fried.

Talk about white privilege. BIPOC defendants get representation, and those lawyers push for plea deals and settlements. that lawyer you qupted is refusing to take the job because telling a white person to settle or plea is career suicide.

caljar:You proved the headline.  No profit, no lawyers.

Lawyers get paid whether they win or lose. It's about no lawyer willing to representa  white person the way they represent everyone else. Money is defintiely not the problem.

Almost as if the word "currency" is not being used correctly.

Contingency? No, money down!

It depends. I remember once reading a bankruptcy settlement that ensured that the lawyers got paid in full before any of the creditors. And after deducting the lawyers' take, there literally was nothing left for the people who were legitimately owed money.

Did that make sense in your head before your typed it?

Lawyers take losing cases. It's their job.

Now feel free to attempt to reconcile that with the thing I quoted.

No they don't.  If it's a contingency case, and they lose, they do not get paid.  If there is not a wealthy enough customer, they don't get paid.  If they can't get the courts to order to pay lawyers fees for a loss, they don't get paid.   Lawyers don't take contingency cases when they know they are going to lose, they have to get paid to bother.
