I'd have to say, unless they were freakishly large or something, the number of US pro athletes I'd recognize on the street is approaching zero. I haven't seen a second of ESPN since I quit the bar and I generally only watch cricket and soccer.

As someone who's done man-in-the-street interviews, you get out there and do the minimum because men in the street are absolute soul-crushing morons, unless you hit right on their occupation. You don't do fifty and choose the best. You do one and edit it as best you can. Finding the goalkeeper for a match you're asking about is a one-in-ten-million stroke of luck, unless the reporter was hanging out outside the home for aged footballers.
