"Everything was fine until the rogue wave hit, and it was just sudden. Shocking."

So everything was fine until it wasn't.  Well that's quite unusual.

Another thing...from that movie and Towering Inferno.
The Costuming.
They had to have a rack of multiple identical costumes....with each one having degrees of damage.
So a burn hole or stain would be in the exact same place from one costume to the next...and each iteration had to match exactly when filmed over multiple days.

Paul Newman's "Towering Inferno" jacket is another example.

Filmed over multiple days...they had to have a rack of those showing damage to correspond to the story board.

/and that really is a nice jacket.

Rehab Is For Quitters: [i.imgflip.com image 671x500]

In 1938...a Rouge Wave swept 200 people into the sea from Bondi Beach Australia.
And became an event to create AUSTRLIAN LIFE GUARDS IN HOT SHORTS.

While clement change is real. It's a global thing, and it doesn't help to say 'well, this thunderstorm, this wave, this tornado' is part of clement change.

Clement change is real. But you can't really say it's women causing it. And the real Clement change is fraction of temp...and has, and will happen again and again. Just like the little "ice age" in Europe and "1800 and froze to death" and the Dust Bowl. Which was actually mostly natural....but the un natural thing was factory farming...which pardoxially did not cause the dust bowl, but did dig up and kill the locusts that where on a decades dirt nap in the plains state.

We've always had changes in global weather. If you look at the ring patterns of trees and wood in 15th century doors and cathedrals. You'll see patterns of "FARK THIS" cold, and patterns of "well this is nice"

Sure, we should switch to greener power and ditch high pollution cars and energy system.
I'm all for that...but also for science.
/Climent change is real
//Your puppy caused it.
/// and cow farts and sushi
//// And again, heck yes we should move towards cleaner 'greener' energy and cars.

Causality is a logic flaw..if you use it casually.

Pretty sure that rogue waves have been a thing for centuries.  Also pretty sure that they tend to be caused more by geologic shifts, undersea events, etc. than they are by climate change.  At least, that's what the documentation/research data from places like NOAA and the like have to say on the subject.

Unless subby is confusing rogue waves with increasingly massive sea swells caused by more and more powerful storm cells which would be exacerbated by climate change/warming.

1987: my ship, USS Cook, was hiat by a really big wave in heavy seas in the South Indian Ocean enroute Perth, Australia from Mombasa, Kenya. It is the job of the Quartermaster to record heavy tilts and he stopped watching the inclinometer at 41 degrees starboard because that's when he grabbed onto something to keep from falling and being hurt. Three Sailors, all on the messdecks, were hurt. one was hiat by a soda machine when it broke loose from the bulkhead, slid across the deck and smashed into him. At the time, the Air Crew had the LAMPS helo on the flight deck to perform maintenance. The helo slid into the life nets and was stuck, requiring nearly every Sailor not on watch to manhandle it back onto deck with ropes and pulleys. Another ship in our battle group (a frigate, I forget which) actually lost her helo overboard. It was the worst passage of my 21 year Navy career. The heavy seas lasted three days. We had several Sailors fall out of their bunks.
