Ok you're not wrong - that is one of the best commercials in the history of ever.  I even watched it for like the zillionth time since you posted it here - 'cause it's that funny and that well done

My disgust for that movie was complete when, many years after it premiered, I saw an interview where someone described it's popularity by saying, "... it was like Star Wars for girls."

Using a contemporary song (complete with a synth bass line and other obvious synth sounds) for the final scene has got to be one of the dumbest things I've seen in a movie, but hey, they got a huge hit out of it.

I'll admit it - Jennifer Grey before the nose job could be a in a documentary about Latvian agricultural production and I'd still watch it.  As I did in the case of Dirty Dancing
