I was doing voter registration door to door in an... unsavory... neighborhood during the runup to Obama's first presidency. One door I knocked on, someone behind the door bellowed to get the f*ck off his porch as someone else was putting the barrels of a shotgun out of the front window. I said yes sir, right away, and GTFO. In that case I'm certain it was drug dealers, and not the low level guys.
It happens.

Well then those are stupid high level guys to point guns at someone who might just call the police over that.

zbtop: I've never understood the whole "door to door" thing, it's always seemed to be one of those things where even if 95% of interactions are pleasant and productive, those 5% are gonna be doozies, and if you're doing things door to door then you need to hit enough doors to routinely hit the doozies to be effective.
