I found out about the Migos in mid 2017, and kept finding their music fun. They were good enough to make me change my mind a bit about Drake when he featured on one of their songs. I moved away from Houston in 2009, but had spent the previous 12 years partying all over. Downtown, where this happened, changed, got way safer and way busier in a good way at night. This killing happened outside a toney club just a block from the Four Seasons, and a block from a Texas Appeals Court / law school building. It is a well lit, generally safe part of the city. In 2009, there were still some darker corners of downtown Houston. This was not one of those places. Young assholes with booze and guns. Sad all the way around.
