I got a referral for my kid when he was 18 months old for occupational therapy because he was missing some milestones. The assessment form said the therapist's goal was for him to sit still and do an activity for 3 minutes without redirection, with the baseline during the assessment being three redirections in 20 seconds.

He's more focused now (3 months later), but even then he could still sit and do one thing for five or ten minutes if he were interested in it. In a new room full of toys with a stranger? Forget about it.

18 months? Occupational therapy? Jesus flying farking Christ on a cracker...you gonna hand-guide his dick & throw him a participation parade when he loses his v-card to the wife you arrange, too?
