Elton John is coming to Connecticut? I thought he was done touring in the US?

I mean, Glastonbury is a great town and all...

Let me make sure I've got this right is this the final UK show of his last ever tour?
The article only mentioned it five times so I'm a little unsure.

It's at 9AM to appease his geriatric fans.

A once-married gay recovering drug addict. He's just like Bowie!!

I think he's a good farked up guy like the rest of us, and he puts on a good show.

I watched the concert that Disney+ streamed from Dodger Stadium.  It was a good show, though it seemed like he spent the first half of it hitching up his pants.  Great guest performances too.

If he had worn his Donald Duck costume, there would have been no need to wear pants.

I caught him in Phoenix about a week before the Disney+ show; he did the same hitching up his pants thing then. It's either a mannerism, or his belt valet needs a beating.

Regardless, great show.

One stop isn't a tour

I watched 3 of his songs on his live deal on disney+, I could only make it 3 songs because he was absolutely terrible, he just repeated the same line over and over again, mumbled everything, and needed to lean on the piano every time he stood. I live with my mom would no recommend

Until the 2025 tour, anyhow.

KISS' tour is 100% a farewell tour, it's just scheduled through the heat death of the universe. Cher has a brunch show the day following.

So, I looked at every Entertainment Tab headline from so far today.  There are lots of names mentioned in the headlines, and Elton John is the only one I even sort of recognize.

I think this says something bad about how young and hip I no longer am.

/It'll happen to YOU!

Perhaps the most shocking thing I ever learned about Bowie was that he wasn't gay.

/He was more likely to be bi.
//He said that he was, but he said a lot of things, and figuring out which were Bowie and which were Ziggy Stardust and which were just nonsense was tricky.  He had a lot of affairs with women, though.

Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, and David Byrne are all pushing 80 and are from super famous bands you've most certainly heard of, unless you've been living under a rock.

I don't think it's your age, but you've miraculously filtered out a lot of pop culture information.

Kiss have done two farewell tours.  The one in 2000 which was the last time you could ever see the original four in makeup, and the end of the road tour, which was originally supposed to end with a stadium show in NYC in July 2020.  And we all know how that worked out.  Everything post pandemic has been additional legs of the same tour, much like Elton John's endless yellow brick road tour.

If you want to talk milking farewell tours, you have to talk about about the eagles.

Nothing beats The Who, whose original "farewell" tour was FORTY YEARS AGO.
