Mixing heroine with cocaine has been more popular than I knew. No one would mix fentanyl with cocaine by mistake. Must be hard to get the dose right when snorting fentanyl.

Sounds like no one bothered with narcan since these guys were also doing stimulants. I guess first responders really hate dealing with people who mix that combination when they are revived from OD'ing on the opioid portion.

That movie was awful.  The only person I've met that said they enjoyed it went on to violently rape a woman, then immediately afterward played the victim because she hurt his feeling.

Does seem weird, they usually will at least try it, it'll undo the fentanyl damage at least in that case.  May have just not been able to get there soon enough to do anything, if it was enough of a horse dose the dude may have damn near hit the floor as a corpse already

My condolences on your loss. I know justice means different things to different people, and I hope you can find what works for you in the aftermath.

My family lost my nephew just over a year ago to heroin laced with fentanyl. There were arrests in his death, but it hasn't felt like justice. I don't think there can be. He made his choice, and I know he didn't think this would happen to him. It's a piece that always will be missing. It's a wistfulness sprinkled with bouts of anger.

If you were expecting cocaine and you got fentanyl instead it would be a life changing experience. Dealers sometimes substitute meth for cocaine and that is bad enough. And meth users think cocaine is silly. Alcoholics think you are all drug addicts.

In the case of cocaine, you have dealers that are adding so many fillers to their product to stretch out their supply that it is not as potent as it should be. To fix this they add fentanyl to give it some kick.

With heroin it is that and also the fact that now, the supply of heroin cannot keep up with demand. So now when somebody buys heroin, they may actually get a small amount of heroin, mostly cornstarch or another filler, and fentanyl to add the kick to it. Or they may gut get cornstarch and fentanyl

You've been around since the 80's and still haven't realized "just say no" is a bullshiat phrase meant to perpetuate the war on drugs?

How about legalizing coke, and using all the wasted law enforcement subsidies to fund rehabilitation and addiction counselling that can actually help people (instead of ruining their lives). As a benefit you wouldn't have cases like this, unless of course it turns out the events in TFA were an intentional murder.
