Bette was robbed of an Oscar for The Rose.

Ive been noodling around with a mash- up of her smoldering slow jam cover of "Do You Wanna Dance?" crossed with, and trading verses and choruses with, "Let's Get It On" ...and I think it really works nicely as either a male-female duet or a solo male version, done from the perspective of a third party witnessing the physical negotiations of a slow-dancing dancing couple.

Had a girlfriend whose brother worked MSG shows. She had a contract rider that specified no stage hands could look her in the eye.

Don't care. Bette got her start in gay bathhouses and never forgot her roots. I'll never forget that.

On Monday, a Twitter user going by Bookshelf Q. Battler mocked a Midler tweet celebrating the sun as "free, unlimited, clean energy" that day.
"Bette is so worried about this that she abandoned her house, car, stopped flying and gave up on all modern conveniences and now lives in a solar powered hut in the forest," the anonymous person tweeted. "What a great example she set for the rest of us. Three cheers for Bette!"
