I really, Really, REALLY hope that the court finds in favor of Dominion and awards them a metric farkton in damages. Like, enough to actually hurt rather than a godsbedamned rounding error.

Call me an Eeyore if you want, but I don't have faith that the courts will unduly punish the news org that has Federalist Society-branded knee pads and no gag reflex when it comes to fellating conservative, judicial activism. There may be some small, symbolic wrist-slappage but nothing that would do more than barely inconvenience these fascist farkfaces.

I have every faith the US justice system will hold Murdoch accountable, just like it has every other billionaire oligarch.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that this may be a civil suit, in which case Fox is basically asking for the Alex Jones treatment due to the fact that pleading the fifth in a civil case can indeed be used against you

I think the punitive has a good chance of outweighing the compensatory, but how much do you charge Fox to make sure they don't do it again? Is a jury even going to comprehend that much money? Though if I were Fox, I'd probably be thinking of settling, "It wasn't malicious, we were just reporting what people were saying, we'll be more careful next time, he's a pretty fat check compared to what your company is worth and nothing compared to ours, we good?"
