I never understood the "ratio" thing on Twitter.

But I remember when the British pound was like 2:1 to the USD.

Ouch.

Just an amazing talent.  I can't draw worth a damn and this guy could paint anything he thought of.  Envious of people with that ability.

Nice. but given the goings on at WOTC i am not overly anxious to give them more money right now.   Not getting out of the game just being more conscious of my spending.

The Frazetta inspired Death Dealer books were better "Lovecraft inspired Conan" than Conan. They literally read like the images looked.

I've gotten back into Magic recently after being out of the loop for 20 years.

I'm spending money like a loaded crack addict.

I think Taschen is dropping a 10 pounder of Frazetta next year. Might toss that on the table in my "studio".

Fun fact: When MTG was being developed, WotC wanted to buy 2nd and 3rd right uses of old book cover artwork because they didn't think they could afford that much original work. The argument was made that it would weaken MTG's world building and seem generic...it seems we have come full circle.

It looks bland to me. One of his strengths is the fantastical yet human anatomy and these things are all clothed. They shouldn't have bothered if they're going to reject the genre like that.
