Waifu simulator didn't have costume changes already?

It has costumes but they are just cosmetics. The game in the article, like X-2, has costumes that allow the character to use different abilities (or so they claim). Personally, I think it looks like a pretty "dress up" simulator with open world aspects.

(Side note, a lot of people dumped on DOA:XBVB due to it's "bounce physics", which were a bit overdone. But it was really a costume/dating game. Most of the people I knew when it came out & played it a lot were female and they really really were into 100% the game.)

A whole 6 skins after 2 years.

The dress/job system in FFX-2 was the only tolerable part about it; even then I could only take about 2-3 chapters. Imagine "Josie & The Pussycats" and "Charlie's Angels" glued together with the worst JRPG plot contrivances.

But how does it compare to IOKIY:AR or IYKWIM-AITYD?

In their defense, FF3 and 5 both had the job system, for better or worse.

I liked ffx2 more than I would have expected. It's a total crap shoot of random mini games and has no quality control, but it had some fun moments. 13 consistently bored me to tears.

And those psychopaths made 3 farking games out of it!  Make a new game! No one likes Lightening and we'd all strangle Hope given the chance.

I would but Fark is not my personal erotica site.

I really don't care to level up 50 niche characters so I often get stuck with a starting roster plus whatever game killer character that shows up so the dressphere concept was one of my favorites ever

*shrug* I kind of liked lightning.  I mean in comparison, out of a party of 6 she's probably number three.    Snow and Hope can go die in a fire though.

Say what you want about Hope... the kid was actually going to murder Snow so that has to count for something.

It took me a while to get into 13 (I actually stopped playing it on my 1st playthrough because I didn't like it) but on my 2nd playthrough I started enjoying it and while the voice acting is pretty shiat given everyone recorded their lines separately and it doesn't have a proper conversation flow, it was fun to play.  X and the PS1 generation games are all better than it though.

X-2 is just OK.  I bought the X and X-2 PS4 package (or PS3? I don't remember) many years ago after playing the original and while I played X again, didn't bother playing X-2 and sold it.

I actually liked 13s combat and the post game wasn't terrible.

X2 was terrible.  Mini games are the worst part of jrpgs.   "Hey dodge a bunch of lightning"

Oh god I remember X-2. Am I in a fight or at a Cher concert? Why not both? I tried to play it a while back but found out that they'd nerfed the catnip gunner move, so I was out.
