Sure.  Notice is doesn't say "many U.S. bartenders."  Maybe many European bartenders sought new jobs in Europe.  Misleading, but accurate.

Clear distilled grain spirits have been made everywhere there was grain and stills. Vodka was independently invented several places

It was invented in Poland. Russia just had better PR so everyone thinks it was invented over there.
