When Prohibition came to the U.S., many bartenders sought new jobs in Europe, where they discovered vodka and its versatile use in cocktails

"Many"?

I just like that it comes in plastic bottles so you can squeeze it out faster...

It's best in the original Klingon.

I'm gonna say Poland. Because russia can fark right off . No offence meant to non tankie folks of Russian ancestry. Plus I had this great bison grass flavoured vodka years ago ( a single blade inside the bottle ) that was so damn good. I never mixed it with anything - just a neat , slow sip shot.

My father used to drink that stuff with the buffalo grass. That was a long time ago.

I usually keep a bottle of vodka around because you never know when somebody will want a moonshine like spirit.

Sure.  Notice is doesn't say "many U.S. bartenders."  Maybe many European bartenders sought new jobs in Europe.  Misleading, but accurate.

Clear distilled grain spirits have been made everywhere there was grain and stills. Vodka was independently invented several places

It was invented in Poland. Russia just had better PR so everyone thinks it was invented over there.

It isn't that hard to download a copy of the savoy book and ctrl-F "vodka".

I think it was used in a few, but they seem to prefer gin at the time, and would well into the 60s, when the Madison Men and Smirnoff gave us vodka.

Of course no one remember who invented vodka. That's what happens when you drink too much vodka.
