It's got to the point where just seeing it's an Examiner link leads one to conclude this is the extent of the "journalistic" endeavor.

The left has begun this year's War on Christmas by *checks notes* going after the new Santa Clause movie?

The left, and everyone else, should 'go after' the awful sequel that no one ever wanted, except for the HBO/Max subscription drivers, 'A Christmas Story Christmas.'

It's true. We, the omnipotent and insidious The Left™, spend immeasurable time and human effort subverting elections AND suppressing the 1994 gospel film The Santa Claus.

Allen's Santa was criticized in the new series as being "too right wing." Santa's big, unforgivable sin? Lamenting the left-wing cultural backlash against saying "Merry Christmas."

This sounds rather Republican Woke to me.

The Left they keep wringing their hands over sounds like a well organized, unstoppable juggernaut of anti-American socialism and godlessness. I'd love to get involved, but I can't seem to find where to join up. Any of you Farkers have a link or something?

I feel left out (pun intended).

This is not the Christmas Season.  It is farking Advent.  Christmas begins on December 25 and ends on January 6.  If you are doing Christmas stuff before Christmas Day, that is straight blasphemy, which requires the death penalty under Biblical law.  Utter "Merry Christmas" before Jesus is born and there is an affirmative religious right to cut you down where you stand, completely legal in accordance with the Hobby Lobby decision.  "Happy Holidays" is perfectly fine since Advent is both holy and over several days.  But utter the C-word, or put up any tree, or lights (besides the Advent candles), or tinsel, or any of that other shiat, and it's a decapitation for you, bucko.

Ugh. There is only one true sequel to A Christmas Story, and it's Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss, completely with another Jean Shepard cameo.

Meanwhile, A CHRISTMAS STORY 2 (not the new one) has been around for years and everyone involved should be arrested for a war crime because it was so awful.

And herein lies the issue with people who decry "cancel culture", even non-conservatives. You're never ever ever going to convince every person on the planet not to complain about things. And with social media all you need is like, 5 tweets and people point at it saying "See see, the woke mob is out of control! Cancel culture cancel culture!"

I don't want to watch the new Christmas Story movie.

I know it will pop up sometime, but the trailer looks so awful, like they completely missed what the first movie was about and just decided to remake national lampoons Christmas vacation which is fine but not as a Christmas Story sequel.

"it's abundantly clear Hollywood doesn't like conservative actors"

Buddy, I have some bad news for you.  It ain't just Hollywood and we don't only hate conservative "actors".

2022-11-30 10:34:57 AM
I liked Tim in Galaxy quest.  but i really hate those santa clause movies, and most movies about santa in general.

mostly, because they add needless details and extra characters to a story that should be more mysterious and full of wonder, instead of fart jokes and and slapstick.

2022-11-30 10:34:57 AM
Oh for fark's sake. Liberals don't hate people saying "merry christmas," liberals hate conservatives whining about the imaginary liberals hating people who say it. Once again they set the stage for their mock outrage and persecution complex so they can pat themselves on the back for showing their strawman argument what for.

Hell I didn't even know there was a new Santa Clause movie. Had to google that and it's a Disney+ series.

So I guess the Washington Express is really trying to help boost D+ subscription numbers? lol

Christ.  Those windmills won't tilt at themselves.  So now the play is say something stupid and hackneyed everyone will ignore and then say you're being "attacked by the left" and then try to get the attention of the left telling them why you're being attacked by them hey guys aren't you outraged?

Oh, you utter victims!

Woke Disney that is so woke that they are wokeing has hired Tim Allen because something.

Look, we're not expected to be intellectually consistent about this.

I always found it funny that the Left, which endlessly preaches about having freedom of speech, gets upset when people mock them for their speech. It's well known the Left has routinely objected to saying "Merry Christmas" during this time of year. In their warped minds, saying it is "not inclusive" or "diverse" or whatever societal ill they are whining about at the moment.

Yeah, fark Jewish people, Muslims, atheists, etc. Stop whining!
What an asshole.

At no point in the article does he talk about the objection the left has to the new Santa Clause movie. He whines about Last Man Standing, which was mostly just Allen whining about liberals being farty poopy doodyfaces, but no mention of the movie, outside of that fact that he's in it.

Tim Allen because it is okay to be a drug dealer as long as it is powder cocaine and you're White

Especially if you make low brow jokes reinforcing gender roles and pretending to use tools

Last Man Standing, from what I understand, was basically "'All in the Family', but Archie is right all the time"

It's long past time to bring some normalcy back to the country and let that initiative begin this Christmas season. It's good that Allen included this line in his show. Getting positive reinforcement of conservative, Republican, and Christian values is a rarity in pop culture these days.

Listen, I loved the The Santa Claus as a kid but Scott Calvin was a terrible father. I also think the dad Robin Williams played in Mrs. Doubtfire was a bad father. There was this weird trope in the 90s where mom's weren't allowed to divorce irresponsible childish men and their kids weren't allowed to like the new stepdad.

This video kinda sums it up nicely in a funny way

There are only two decent Christmas films.

Die Hard and Elf.

Change my mind.

The only ones I've seen panning this movie are christian dumbasses (repeating myself) losing their farking minds over a SANTA SATAN spelling mix-up joke. "This shows Disney's TRUE intentions!!!" What? to elicit a subdued but comfortable chuckle at a joke that's been around for centuries?

Filming a winter show or movie is hard because Tim Allen keeps taking breaks to hit the slopes. Weirder even because it's shot in a sound studio, there's no ski resorts nearby!

My wife was sick and quarantined over the holiday weekend and love the original, so we watched it. It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be and It's not really at all like Christmas Vacation. It has a couple of overriding themes like the original, there are some funny moments and of course a lot of fan service.

PRINCIPLES OF SOCIALISM

- A Tim Allenless society
- Price Control - Except for gas prices, which are entirely under the purview of Joe Biden
- First and foremost, Chrstopher Termonglie, Commentary Writer, speaks on behalf of the politically-engaged proletariat. He is the people's Butthurt Barometer, you can set your watch to his timely insights into how everyone but himself thinks. The fact that he is Tim Allen's agent is entirely inconsequential.

"Merry Christmas" is perfectly inclusive once you accept the reality that at least in modern USA, Christmas has jack shiat to do with Jesus or Christianity.

There is no "new Santa Clause movie" - there is a mini-series, or basically a TV show called "Santa Clauses" and sounds like it's being panned for legitimate reasons.

We have dog themed holiday ornaments... some say Christmas on them, but we just call them the holiday huskies, as neither my s/o nor I are particularly religious.

Also, it's hardly a war on Christmas to point out that Tim Allen is a bad actor, and an even worse comedian, and that there are dozens of better Christmas movies out there (Elf, A Christmas Story, Die Hard).

I was really hoping this was about that new movie with the stranger things guy.

Mostly because I actually want to see it.  It looks so awful, and it looks like everyone involved knows it's absurd, which is when awful movies become great movies.
