It's almost like all the doom and gloom a certain party fed us right before the election was pure B.S.

Well, this is clearly the result of consumers having confidence that the incoming GOP house majority will get everything back on track. There is no greater engine for economic growth than endless investigations into Hunter Biden's laptop.

That's an improvement from the initial government reading in October that showed 2.6% growth in economic activity, and better than the Refinitiv forecast of 2.7%. And it's a marked turnaround from economic contractions of 1.6% in the first quarter of the year and 0.6% in the second.

We had two quarters of contraction.  That's the major criteria of a technical recession.  The contraction has ended and expansion has returned.  That's not entirely unexpected.  The recessions of 2001 and of 1991 were both 8 months long.  The recession of 1980 was only 6 months.  Not every recession results in everyone losing their house and spending the next 5 years saying "in this economy...."

Now, the recession of 1980 was followed by a worse recession in 1981, so maybe you should start to panic.  Everyone panic!

Hourly wages of non-supervisory employees have increased by 5.5% year over year, particularly for those in transportation and warehousing (8.5%), leisure and hospitality (7.1%), and construction (6.6%):

Nobody says economic growth is inherently a bad thing, what people ARE saying is that economic growth that only supports the wealthy isn't something worth celebrating much, if at all. "YAY, the rich got richer! Woooo, we got it done" is silly.

It's a shame you can't talk honestly about this.

In the US, economic growth only helps the wealthy and abuses the lower class. That's just the way it is. So this news, where we are getting more economic growth, is not all that great. Of course, you're twisting that dishonestly - which is really the best you can do - to mean "all economic growth is bad."

Fark's sake, stop being such a divisive heel for a change.
