Who in the chocolate covered f*ck thinks that it's a good idea to 'visit' a country in the middle of a war?

I hate to say it, but child sized prosthetics seem to pair with cluster munitions.

It must be Constable Visit-the Infidel-with-Explanatory-Pamphlets running the North Korean artillery today.

So, more or less dangerous that the US?

I mean, most of our Russian assets are even worse shots, and a good many of them are in Congress...

Is better you visit just before war....

Even when you tell people not to go traveling in a war zone, they'll do it.  Good friend's mother simply had to go to see a shrine in Serbia just as things were getting really ugly in Bosnia, before NATO stepped in.
Fortunately, she made it home safe.  "No big deal."  Sure, OK.  You do you.  Given a choice, I'll never set foot in an active war zone again.

It might be more dangerous for the Russians in some places.

It's a pretty good sized country; while the whole country might be at war the whole country isn't a war zone. If in this particular situation the not-currently-fighting portions have any resources for tourism I don't know, but it's not inherently the case that they don't.

/Touring the actual war zone? I'm absolutely with you there.

It will stay that way until the war finally ends sadly.

Similar folks who just HAVE to hike to Jerusalem or across Fundy desert with their wives/girlfriends.

Sure, you might die, but think of the money you're saving on that air bnb rental.

At some point, I think it would be kind of neat to visit some of the old Soviet bloc countries. Look behind the curtain, so to say.
Probably wait until the war is over, tho.  Hopefully in my lifetime we'll have peace enough.

Or the idiots that go to Best Korea or hike some mountains in Iran and get captured by some group and held hostage for years.

I find it interesting that Finland and Ukraine both share a border with Russia but Finland is one of the safest and naturally Ukraine is not. That tells me that Finlanders aren't worried about them damn ruskies coming over there.

Because they are all reservists, and badass. Also, previous to this they have remained neutral.

Baltic Sea perimeter tours are available from a variety of travel companies. I was recently looking at one that starts in Finland, ferries over into Estonia, tour bus through Latvia, Lithuania, and ends in Poland after about 2 weeks. A couple friends have done similar trips and had a great time. I saw one that starts and ends in Denmark after hitting every country that touches the Baltic, except russia.

The whole country is within range of Russian missiles. I'll stay away thanks.
