Red and Kitty ride again? Nice.

Hey, that looks promising.

/Glad I live through the 1990s as well.

I want to not like it. I mean it literally looks like a way to completely rehash the original series.

But I love cranky Kurtwood Smith. Maybe even slightly more than murderous Kurtwood Smith. And his pairing with Debra Jo Rupp worked so well. If they hadn't replaced Eric with that complete knob in the last season, it might've been alright. I know I'll give this a shot.

I loved the 90s but it doesn't have a distinct style like the 70s and 80s. And that's a good thing.

Bleached blond hair, t-shirt over hoodie, oversized pants.
Rappers, grunge, and Korn kids.

Not seeing that big a difference. Although I don't remember "t-shirt over hoodie" and there are still over sized pants except now they're ridiculously ripped up.

I like Smith and Rupp, so it's good to see them working.  Otherwise, it just looks like formulaic garbage.

No Midge Pinciotti cameos.  Probably not any Hyde cameos either given his legal troubles.  I wonder if Leo is still hanging out in Point Place.

I could see this show having great cameo potential but, certainly it will be difficult to find that *it* factor that made the first show work.  I'll probably give it a go because I always loved Red and Kitty.

I'll watch it high.

Spoilers maybe but

Imdb has all of them including Leo minus Hyde for an episode.

what do you mean, 'maybe' ... of course that is a spoiler for a show that hasn't aired.   DAMNIT

Didn't "That 80's Show" bomb?

What makes them think this would work?

That 70's Show TNG?

Red and Kitty.

Pretty sure that's the formula.

Will check it out, for them.

fragMasterFlash: Red and Kitty ride again? Nice.

And they somehow over 15 years later look EXACTLY the same.  It's freaky.

But it basically looks like a complete carbon copy of that 70s show but in the 90s.  I'm fine with this.  That 70s show was awesome... Why ruin a winning formula?  Course it all depends on the actors.  That's what made the original work so well.

Mugato: I loved the 90s but it doesn't have a distinct style like the 70s and 80s. And that's a good thing.

Definitely not as distinct as the 70s and 80s...and there is some 90s fashion you could wear today wear people would not accuse you of being out of style.

But JNCOs deserve a permanent death and hopefully they never come back.

And every time I watch "Scream" I have to chuckle when I realize that's how we often dressed up when I was in high school...class of 1997.

Oh...and hopefully jorts never come back....I fully realize that I am guilty of wearing them.

It looks okay. I'll give it a chance.

My prediction:

It will be better than "That 80s Show".

And yes, that is a ridiculously low hurdle....a Smurf could jump over that hurdle.

Have you ever watched Patriot on Amazon? He has a spectacular role in the series.

ZMugg: Didn't "That 80's Show" bomb?

That 70s Show worked because the actors were surprisingly good.  As people are saying, Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp were amazing.  And having Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Laura Prepon, and Ashton Kutcher as the kids is a lot for a random sitcom.

That 80s Show didn't have any of that.

That 90s Show seems to be starting with 2 of the most beloved actors, so its enough to give it a chance.

The_Sponge: And every time I watch "Scream" I have to chuckle when I realize that's how we often dressed up when I was in high school...class of 1997.

I watched Scream last month, didn't notice anything about the fashion. Early 90s had big hair and shoulder pads on women held over from the 80s.

It will be better than "That 80s Show"

I'm not sure but I don't think it was made by the same people.

moothemagiccow: i couldnt get into the first one

"That 70s Show" was pretty interesting for about the first 1.5 seasons. Then it decided to get really stupid, and it sucked.

This show looks bad from the start.

And now to get all dorky: Eric must've knocked-up somebody *immediately* after he left home to have a kid that old by the 90s.

2022-11-29 9:44:32 PM
My 90s style was nondescript.  I mostly wore vintage T-shirts and jeans.  I looked more like a burnout from the 70s.  I think the most 90s I ever got was baggy khakis and a denim shirt.

Well....Stu and Randy definitely look out of style given today's standards:

Red and Kitty haven't changed much looks wise.

New kids seem kinda meh.

I'll give it a shot though.

2022-11-29 9:48:44 PM
So yeah...IMHO, there is a certain 90s look, but I absolutely agree that it is not as unique as other decades.

For example....I am wearing Old Navy jeans and a Captain America Shield t-shirt...and if I took a time machine to any year in the 90s, I could easily blend in.

Granted there was only a brief glimpse but the granddaughter seemed to nail the nervous energy of topher grace's eric.

The chemistry between the actors will make or break the show, we'll have to see.

I'm surprised that they used the exact same set, tough. It obviously needs to keep the same house layout, but I'd have expected at least some changes in the upper floor's decor. There's no way they'd have kept this color scheme in their kitchen for another 20 years.

Yeah, I wear pretty much the same thing now I wore then, some different band names and movie posters on the t-shirts.

I think they said it was his and Donna's daughter. Not sure how/when they got back together, but apparently, they did.

A house down the street from me just sold. The inside was all 1974 and all in immaculate, perfect condition. Including all built-in appliances.

I mean, they did try a "That 80s Show," which I believe featured a young Glenn Howerton. So I feel that once every other decade, they will get it right.

And yes, I love the two oldsters driving the thing. Judging from this trailer, the brownies will be laced with PCP.

Red's muffler shop didn't do too well, so they can't afford to remodel.
