The entire AFC East would also be in.

I remember the preseason prediction that the entire AFC west would be a powerhouse and the NFC East would be garbage

2022-11-29 6:17:09 PM
And the NFC South would be represented by a team with a losing record.

I just root for the conference

If the NFL season were to end today, I'd be pretty pissed off.

Galileo's Daughter: The entire AFC East would also be in.

This was true like a week or two ago, but it looks like the Bengals have now snuck past the Patriots.

Meh, I'll take an MiB-style flash blackout to pretend this shiat sandwich of a season didn't happen

The AFC West would also be competitive and the Chiefs would be fighting to be #1 after losing Hill. That aged very well.

If people could beat the Bucs and force Brady to sit at home in January, that would be nice.

Just the current Super Bowl campions, pally.

And there's no way we'll meet in the playoffs due to an historic collapse of my team, which really is more like what Ram fans expect.  The Super Bowl win seems like an aberration.

49ers have been our daddy for the better part of the last 4 decades, so I had to do the Deebo thing.  LOL

Enjoy!

And the announcers stiiiillll bring up Hill at least 20 times per game. STFU.

I might be slightly annoyed for a couple weeks. Then I would completely forget about it.

I recall a lot of NFL types saying they could be better without Hill.

I feel like the Giants are a little bit of smoke and mirrors and a little bit of momentum going a long way thus far.

Well, as someone who lives in the DC area, saying the NFC East will be garbage is usually not the worst bet to make.

Yeah I commented in the power rankings thread earlier the Gnats remaining schedule is divisional games + Titans and Colts.  Given they don't match up well with WAS or Philly I don't really see them getting more than 2 additional wins. Seattle will be in and the Gnats will be out.

Uh, that's Vikings and the Colts, not Titans there cfreak. ;)

Go Commies!

Yep. Getting my schedules mixed up. Cows play Titans.

As a 49ers fan, I would love to see Washington or the Giants on my playoff schedule.

ClavellBCMI: And, somehow, the Lions could *still* make the playoffs.

None of the NFL's 32 teams have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

The Bears are in last place in the NFC at 3-9 (with 5 games remaining) so if they win-out, they would end the season at 8-9.  If the Giants or the Commanders lose-out, they would end the season at 7-10, so the bears would make the playoffs as a wildcard.

The Texans are in last place in the AFC with a 1-9-1 record (6 games remaining), so if they were to miraculously win-out they would end the season 7-9-1.  If the Jets or the Bengals lose-out, they would end at 7-10, so the Texans would make the playoffs as a wildcard team.

I'm not saying any of that is even remotely realistic (it isn't).

As it stands now, the 49ers would get the Giants and the Vikings would get the Commanders.
