It's doing me a concern, being that I'm looking down the barrel of 60 about now.

I know the man didn't want to die but, maybe don't run for reelection under such a circumstance?

Life expectancy in the US reached a peak in 2015 and has gone down slightly since then.  Almost as if something happened in 2016 that turned things downward.  I'd also theorize that the rise of the "do your own research" crowd on social media has cut short a good number of lives.

Every single one of my best friends in life has died before 60, so it's an age decade that's all gift to me.

I think it's already been established that COVID really did a number on life expectancy worldwide. Which is surprising because we were told by the "researchers" that it was a "hOaX".

I had my first polyp harvest a year ago.

The pooping part wasn't that difficult. Forcing myself to drink 64 ounces of Gatorade mixed with Miralax over however many hours it was? Much more difficult.

For bonus points I woke up part of the way through the procedure and asked one of the nurses if I was supposed to be awake. They answered "Nope!" while immediately sending me back to sleep.

Virginia law on the issue:

"§ 24.2-209. Filling vacancies in House of Representatives.
When any vacancy occurs in the representation of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the House of Representatives, or when a representative-elect dies or resigns, the Governor shall issue a writ of election to fill the vacancy. Upon receipt of written notification by a representative or representative-elect of his resignation as of a stated date, the Governor may immediately issue a writ to call the election. The representative's or representative-elect's resignation shall not be revocable after the date stated by him for his resignation or after the forty-fifth day before the date set for the special election."

So the Governor doesn't get to appoint anyone, though could be an ass and slow walk the process.

The frequency of the tests is a matrix based on the type and number of polyps found. At least in my case.

Diagnosis rates are increasing significantly in the 40+ crowd, so I'd suggest getting checked no later than 40 if there's a family history. 45 was too late for me.
