That Clarence Thomas has not already been impeached for the criminal activities of his wife is unconscionable, and his complete failure to separate himself and his opinions from them, is alone enough to utterly shred any tiny tatter of credibility this failed court has or ever will have.

Samuel Alito is just the shiat icing on that particular cake at this point.

I believe it would be in our best interests to just start ignoring their orders.

With what army do the expect to enforce their rulings?

You have to buy into the notion that they are honest arbitrators of the Constitution. I, 100% do not and they can go f*ck themselves.

You're not going to convince Alito that women are people; you're not going to convince Thomas that being loved by white people is a pathetic life goal; you're not going to convince Neil Gorsuch that the 20th century happened.

Heh.

Doing nothing is also a choice. Go read up on what happens to a society/culture that implodes it's legal system and protects the rich at the expense of everything else.
Go on. Do some research. See what y'all come up with.... because this scenario has played out before. None of this is unique, and the end result are very predictable.

Many of Schenk's other allegations have gotten buried under the weight of the Hobby Lobby reveal, because Justice Alito was also the author of the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade, which leaked weeks before the court's ruling was made public. Obviously, people concerned about the leak of Dobbs now have another suspect.

Nope.  Same suspect as before.

They're an illegitimate power, but a power they remain.

I'd take 6 undocumented workers with no legal training over the Sinister Six any day. Their ability to parse the law and the Constitution are probably at least as good as that of Roberts and his band of charlatans, and you know they've probably put in at least one day of hard work in their lives, unlike the soft-handed farks in that judicial cabal.

They get to be as corrupt as they want; no one is even going to attempt to stop them. Hell, the Democrats have barely even spoken up about any possible solutions. They don't seem at all open to even expanding the Court, the one thing we might be able to do without burning the entire institution to the ground first.

We cannot survive like this for decades to come, and to demand that marginalized people simply have to endure this for the rest of our oppressed lives is outrageous.

You mean the obviously white supremacist faction, including Clarence?

Yeah, they're not at all subtle.

This is why Ex-President Useless farkwad was elected. The only reason, really. They got what they wanted out of him, now he can fark all the way off. But they will continue to serve the interests of the white supremacists that make up the Republican party, because that's why THEY were hired.

It's pretty hilarious, really. I mean, that one small aspect of it. Not the current lineup in the Supreme Court, that's a farking tragedy, but hey, laugh to keep from crying and all that.

I'm afraid I have a more restrictive definition of corruption.
Kavanaugh may be a case of corruption if he did get his loans/debt paid off as part of being nominated.
Whoever leaked the Dobbs draft might have had corrupt motives.
It presses things to claim Thomas is corrupt for not recusing over anything that might involve Ginni as there simply isn't a clear standard that applies to SCOTUS and justices are generally granted discretion over deciding if they can overcome biasing circumstances. I dislike the guy, always have, but corruption is a high hurdle.

Corruption is most clearly about taking bribes to vote a particular way, or using knowledge of a vote to take advantage with something like insider trading.

What this court is, is mostly warped by the bad judicial philosophies promoted by the Federalist Society.
It is their philosophical retreat from the principles underlying the Constitution that is the principle problem. They don't incorporate those Enlightenment Concepts but instead hide behind narrow parsing of language. This disease is not Corruption. Corruption involves seeking personal benefit. The main disease of this court is the pursuit of a regressive agenda that would deny you rights unless they are specifically granted --- something that is far far removed from original intent but gets pushed by the cynically labeled "originalists". The Court's problem is this inculcated hypocrisy.

What? Shoot them? We don't really have many options. The religious nutters in the Supreme Court have an unbeatable lock, and barring Congress actually getting off their ass and doing anything, they'll have it for a long time. And with the Republicans taking the house, ain't nothing going to happen.

The Catholics on the Supreme Court who went to Mass on October 16th, heard the Gospel reading of the "Parable of the Corrupt Judge".
It was supposed to be a metaphor ("never give up praying"), I guess but they took to be an instruction and/or permission to give a judgement not based on laws but on lobbying.

/ "Hobby Lobby", indeed

Probably the most feasible way to fix the Supreme Court is to expand the number of justices. A total of fifteen justices seems like a good number. If the Democrats don't do it, the Republicans will at the first chance they can and then the Supreme Court will be even more evil.

There's no reason not to expand SCOTUS. And by 2024, the Dems will have the ability to do so AND the widespread popular support necessary to see it done.
Any Democrat who doesn't want to expand SCOTUS can get kicked out in the next primary race.
Young people and women voters are the ones driving this bus, and the Dems leadership best pay attention.

We have three branches in our ostensibly "representative" government. Two and a half of them out of three were intended - by intentional design right from the very start - to NOT be responsive to the will of the people or representative. The last 0.5 is the House of Reps, and that effectively became another mini-Senate when they capped the number of members.

And on top of SCOTUS intentionally being anti-democratic it's also unusually powerful among developed nations.

Our constitution is a mess.
