That's a surreal explanation, even for Chinese Police.

You call that a beating by police? (laughs Americanly)

Give their cops a break, they've been beating protestors for a few days now. Whackin arm got tired.

They could simply employ the 'stranger' technique and use their non-dominant hand.

Giggity?

They'll never stop the reporting problem that way.  They need to go after the kingpin, the dealer, the big cheese.

Surprised Musk hasn't blocked these journalists yet.

Put them in jail where they'll be safe from COVID.

Unlike American police, Chinese police do not have to chant "STOP RESISTING!!  STOP RESISTING!!!" as they beat a protestor.

How am I supposed to fap to this?

The beating happened when he was in custody.  And it sounds like it was a real beating.

The Chinese police state is getting pretty bold.

I believe I saw a number of videos of this sort of thing from non-Chinese countries a couple years ago.

2022-11-28 11:47:12 AM
So -- they're saying that "beating and kicking" isn't the new treatment protocol for COVID?

I was starting to worry that my local county health department was slacking.

2022-11-28 11:52:07 AM
Wait - they're allowed to have brutal, corrupt police in other countries?
THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!

Oh, well, in custody, that changes everything. U.S. cops never abuse, beat, put 'em on train tracks like an 1890s silent-film villain, or torture someone while in custody. (chuckles in Americana)

Let's ship the Freedom Convoy over there so they can do their thing and see how long the Chinese government puts up with them.

Judging from this and China flooding Twitter with shiatposts trying to drown out coverage of the protests, they're more worried this time than usual.

But it was Chinese Police so he needed beating again an hour later.

On the one hand, arresting journalists is not a good thing.

But on the other hand, I get it.  China doesn't want to turn into a plague infested hellscape, and giving a platform to whiners led to possibly hundreds of thousands of deaths in other countries (like the U.S.).

It's a failure from a human rights perspective, but it's a pragmatic decision that is arguably contributing to an environment where lives will be saved.

We've all wanted to punch and kick the MAGAts when they put on their temper tantrums over COVID restrictions.

Me wanting to assault MAGA assholes is not the same as me wanting the state to assault MAGA assholes.
