"You fool!" croaked the frog (D-WV), "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?"
The Republican shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog's back.

"I could not help myself. It is my nature."

With the way things are headed, Manchin is not really useful to the dark money interests after 2024.

Now bring his wife and daughter to justice for price fixing/gouging epi-pens.

This is another family of garbage people legacy political privilege.

And I bet there is some incest in there, prove me wrong.

If he were, he'd have gotten actual Republicans' cooperation.

/ The question is whether the GOP acting petulant like this is going to help or hurt them against him. The whole tantrum-throwing bit didn't work out so well for them this year.

The Mountain Valley Pipeline would transport natural gas more than 303 miles from northwestern West Virginia to southern Virginia and create an estimated 3,700 construction jobs and $1.58 billion in direct spending in West Virginia.
Brian Darling, a Republican strategist and former Senate aide, said "I don't think Republicans should give Manchin any victories."

So they are willing to screw their own core constituency just to serve the party. And yet, these people who got f*cked will still vote for them.
That should be their new slogan: Vote for us. We'll f*ck you no matter what.

No one gives a shait what you "consider him". You're a random internet nobody with a strong degree of reality denial and gatekeeping. It's who he caucuses with in the Senate that determines his party affiliation. (And, the fact that he was/is the winning nominee of the Democratic Party of West Virginia for US Senator.)

This. And with Arizona's blue wave, I wouldn't be surprised if Sinema found herself feeling a little more open-minded towards the Democrats' agenda. It was a pretty damn solid reminder that Sinema is, in fact, replaceable.

If he wanted permitting reform, maybe he should have voted for the BBB. I'm sure other democrats would be much more cooperative if he didn't help sink their biggest bill. Or maybe not cutting off the extended child care tax credit that pulled millions of kids out of poverty. Or maybe just not being a pain in the ass to his own party in general...

As much as I don't like him, I do want him to continue to represent WV. Because like you said, he'd be replaced by a Republican.

qorkfiend: grumpfuff: Palined Parenthood: Bernie is not a Democrat!

Gyrfalcon: Not on the ballot.

Sorry, did I touch a nerve? I'm going on what he does and supports.

Mr.Insightful: If he were, he'd have gotten actual Republicans' cooperation.

Laughable. He has a D after his name. Republicans don't like him.

Mr.Insightful: The question is whether the GOP acting petulant like this is going to help or hurt them against him. The whole tantrum-throwing bit didn't work out so well for them this year.

He's been A-OK with Republicans throwing temper tantrums.

Sorry, I'm missing where I'm supposed to consider him a Democrat other than the letter after his name.

Ok, and what "he does and supports" is not what Republicans do and support.

See my later comment.

It is impressive to see so much ignorance proudly worn as if it were a badge of honor.

Sorry, am I supposed to ignore his regular refusal to ignore Democrat ideas?

No, but you should be capable of understanding that "does not agree with the Democrats on everything" is not equivalent to "is a Republican"

Oi. Like I've said regularly, I'd prefer him to the Republican he'd be replaced with. That doesn't mean I like him.

grumpfuff: I'm not faulting for not being in lockstep with Democrats.

Youl literally did that which is why so many are critizing you.

Oh? Here's what you said.

"Haven't read TFA yet, but Manchin is a Republican."

Yes, I stand by that. He's a conservative Democrat, and I don't see much difference.

Just as one idea, he loves coal.
