Yep and I don't have to watch it again for another five years.

My complaint with NBC coverage of the parade is exactly the same as my complaint about their Olympics coverage: they won't STFU and just show you the thing you're actually trying to see.

If someone asked me what I thought the ratings for the Macy's parade were, I would have guessed 1.0 to 1.2. Flabbergasted.

Cbs covered the same parade.  Did they do it better? I wasn't home this year so i missed them.

I will never, ever forgive them for the Indy 500. Saito makes a pass that ends up winning the race, but NBC had split screen for commercials, so you never actually see it.

People actually watch that?

Do advertisers pay more retroactively if there is a higher viewership, or will it simply mean that the network can charge a higher rate for next year's parade?

I watched parts of it. Then the National Dog Show came on.

My mom does. The TV isn't far from the kitchen, I have to hear that crap while I'm working on Thanksgiving dishes.

Lame boomer thanksgiving fights "i wanna watch the parade" vs. "i wanna watch the dog show". ffs just put some music on and stay out of the kitchen.

It's a tradition for some people. I watch it every year along with the Westminster Dog Show.

They are the same channel.  The dog show is on right after the parade.

The fights are parade vs football, dog show vs football, football vs Disney+ or Hallmark.

Isn't there some kind of rule regarding stuff like this?

Sticking your finger in the ass of someone in front of you is a bad idea, but the author of the book the balloon is based on had a good laugh about it when it happened since there is a more infamous incident.

I had the channel on CBS because that's what YouTubeTV showed me first. It was fine I guess. The parade is mostly background noise while I cook.

World Cup is on, what idiot has the tv on that worthless parade?

Talking heads are talking heads, only reason I watched the NBC coverage was they have the entertainment in front of the Macy's store while CBS is at the beginning of the parade route.

/Switched off to what the Bills/Lions game.  Go Bills!
