I'm guessing somebody wasn't looking too closely at the X-ray machine that scanned his bag. Screeners at JFK probably miss things now and then.

By reading the article (crazy right?) the knife blade size and folding suggests the knife below, not a larger hipster prop or Sweeny slicer

They would probably want to keep the airport with security holes on the down low till they fix 'em.

That's a utility knife, folding specifically. I have a Milwaukee one and while it's cute for light work the old Stanley model (yes with the screw to change blades) is better 99% of the time.

He cannot confirm nor deny that there may or may not be an airline named JetBlue?

If you say "I don't believe in JetBlue", does it mean you have lost faith in them, or that you doubt that JetBlue exists?
