"The report wrote that even with these hits to advertising revenue, Twitter CEO Elon Musk has "continued his rash of brand unsafe actions - including amplifying conspiracy theories, unilaterally reinstating banned accounts such as that of former President Donald Trump, courting and engaging with far-right accounts, and instituting a haphazard verification scheme that allowed extremists and scammers to purchase a blue check."

One cannot help but liken his genius to that of the Renaissance men of old. This is like Einstein if Einstein had owned the patent office. Touche, real man of genius.

I would usually just mute or block most of the advertising I had in my feed anyway. If I see anything interesting advertised on social media, I just note the name and search for it separately. Yes, I know Google is harvesting the info if I use Chrome.

I guess some companies like their ads seen beside racist rants from neo-nazis.

My Twitter account was permanently suspended last June. If they reinstate it next week, as promised, I'll get back to trolling Twitter. I love y'all too much.

Have you tried blockchain yet? No one knows what it can do.

The entire world is talking about Twitter. Smart advertisers go where the world is focusing their attention.
Twitter is still packed with people, despite the sad sacks just hoping beyond hope that it fails. Seems like the Steisand effect. The more the hens cluck about it, the more popular it gets.

Who needs Apple and Coca-Cola when you have MyPillow and Kirk Cameron's "Saving Christmas Again" - shot in a single take in Marjorie Taylor-Greene's favorite Waffle House -- featuring his character Christian White out-debating both Lou Siffer *and* Pete O'Fyle on Truth Social and turning them both into Trump voters. Look for Kevin Sorbo as "stunt anus!"

I kinda think the same thing, but Elon almost looks like he's tanking Twitter on purpose. For most of us, wasting $44 billion would be a big deal, but he's still gonna have $200 billion or so left over. This was just a lark. Twitter will go the way of MySpace, methinks.

Smart advertisers go where there's a positive association for their product.

4chan has tons of traffic. 8chan has tons of traffic.

$8chan still has tons of traffic, too. And, just like his new peers, Elmo will find it hard to attract any advertising beyond pornography and boner pills.

The big thing about the mass layoffs is not the bad accounts being reinstated, it's the fact that the security team has been gutted and hackers are most likely flooding the site with ransomware and shiatloads of toxic software that used to be policed.  SOOO many computers are going to be compromised because of this nonsense.

It's also slowly starting to break. My notifications are totally hit or miss (I get them for when someone likes a post, but not for replies) and I can now only see posts 5 hours or newer in my timeline.

Just like Elon's first born, this site is going to die quicker than expected.

WTF? Keeping 50 of the top 100 is not in any way the tragic fall that the media has been pushing. Twitter is global. If a company in Singapore or Dubai want to pick up the slack, they easily can.

True, because their value sure as hell won't be.

/They'll be around much the same way The Learning Channel has been around for decades- full of garbage people trying to scam each other and nothing like their former selves.
//Ok, exactly like their former selves, but more so.
