Mac Jones sucked at the end.  He's the opposite of Brady.  He hokds onto the ball too long.  He sucks under pressure.  He sucks in the red zone.  He sucks late in close games.

/Patricia called the plays in the 2nd half and he sucks too

I won't be in Sunday until late. Leave Phoenix area tomorrow and take four days to drive back to DC. That day I drive Little Rock to Bristol (ish).  Enjoy rest of your long weekend!

Damn, that's quite a drive! Good luck.

/ especially going through Arkansas

The refs were doped up on tryptophan, I think. Kinda mussed the game up in a chaotic neutral sense.

Marcus Jones was too eager to run that last punt back for a TD. He could have let the ball bounce and let the Pats start at the 20.

I mean...at this point, a bad loss for the Pats. But they did some things they've had trouble doing this year.

Not sure how the Minnesota D-line couldn't get to Mac all that often.

Lose to the Bills, maybe beat the Cardinals and probably beat the Raiders?

I didn't expect it to be this high scoring, but I totally said it would be a one score game. Vikings got some breaks on special teams and the offense made some nice plays. Pats definitely focused on shutting down the run and Kirk took advantage. It was a fun game, could have easily gone either way.

Brilliant, Mac.

Farking brilliant.

I thought maybe a lateral laden play.

Worse is the receiver going down like he thought they had a timeout.

Surviving the holiday week at the restaurant?

The real disaster starts tomorrow, though yesterday was a nightmare, too. Remember when I said that if anyone called off we were boofooed? Someone called off, and my boss was so pissed off he took it out on me all day. If I spoke to my coworkers the way he spoke to me I would have been fired long ago.

Tomorrow Hell starts promptly at 6. I went in for 3 hours to set up today because the night shift is useless, so tomorrow will be easy until he gets wound up about something stupid and comes at me again.

So we'll see. Black Friday is hiat or miss. I mean, it's always busy, but there's busy and HOLY FARK busy. If it's the latter I'm looking at 14 hours. If not it's only 10. The weekend will be easier if the boss stays home like he should and let's me deal with it, he introduces stress where I don't.

My problem with this game is the timing.  They still have a good record against the conference. But they needed to keep up and it was right there for them.

I don't know college rules. Does the clock stop after every play at the end of the game?

This year more than others in last few years really feels like a major realignment of power is happening. It's interesting, but weird to see things like NFC East dominating, a good Miami team, etc.

Stops after first downs until they reset the chains. I actually think that's a reasonable rule.

It stops after every first down until the ball is set. So basically on that last play if the receiver gives himself up with a few seconds left they can rush to the line and spike the ball as soon as the ref sets it.

I can't find the post, I've tried everything with Ctrl-F....Adolf mentioned that the Pats making dumb mistakes was the opposite of what happened over the last couple decades. It was a reply to another comment. I've tried: opposite mistake adolf and can't find it.

I just wanted to smart Adolf Oliver Nipple's post.

Consider this that vote.

The refs were bad. I'm not saying they screwed the Pats. I mean, the calls can't be quantified. There's no telling how the game would have gone if they got the first bad call right. Or what bad call they might have made later.

Last night, watching the Bruins game within 10 minutes my girlfriend (who follows the Bruins better than me) says, "Oh, it's going to be that kind of game where the refs don't know what they're doing."

And it proved right. A ton of bad calls, refs looked like idiots.

You can always deal with the home cooking, it's just part of it.  But three near simultaneous holds with shirts and pads being pulled away from bodies at the point of attack on a kickoff return was when I knew it was over.  Taking the TD away from Henry made that an 11 point swing within a couple of minutes.  This Patriots team can't recover from that the way they used to because they can't take care of their own stupid sh*t.

That's the issue right now. Usually the Pats capitalize on the mistakes, but it's been a few years where they're the ones making those mistakes.

Henry not taking one step to the right after a very long gain before the defender could tackle him. Mac sliding for a sack when he could have just thrown it over the end zone and stopped the clock.

And that last play? Meyers just gives himself up with no time on the clock. Either try to break through a tackle, or look for somebody behind where he is to throw the ball or anything other than just saying, "I'm gonna go down and end the game."

Coaching. Coaching is suffering.
