Me too.  I have to root for the Bills, because I've jumped aboard that bandwagon.  I've always disliked the Cowboys, so go Giants.  And I almost always root against the Vikings, because of how they screwed the Saints.

Fans are weird.

31 of 32 teams are still in the hunt for the 1-seed in their conference. Yes, even the Texans. Only the Bears do not have a possible path to the first round bye.

All 32 teams are still alive for a playoff spot, and no team is in danger of being eliminated this week. No, not even the Texans.

No team can clinch a playoff spot this week. No team can even lock up the 7-seed until next weekend at the earliest.

Sanity is questionable for all of us Reprobates.

I'll catch a few minutes of Bills/Lions, but only a few. Game starts at 10:30 here, but from talking to folks in Eastern/Central time zones (I'm in AZ right now), I'll be able to watch my friends in the Queer Big Apple Corps perform in the Macy's parade around 10:40-10:45, so I'll switch over for that. Then I leave at 11 for big family thanksgiving where we're supposedly having 27 people; big for post-COVID, but slightly lower than pre-COVID numbers. (I leave at 11 because if we get there before 11, we will be put to work, so might as well stay at the hotel until then to be safe.)

Our contribution to Thanksgiving: four Village Inn pies.

I'm just happy that we get the most unusual serving for this year: 3 games that actually have a pretty good chance at being competitive, exciting contests

The BiIls are my AFC team, and it's easy to root for Josh Allen. Still, I'm liking seeing the feistiness of the Loins. This will be a hootenanny

I'm always a fan of whoever is playing the Cowboys, so I'm a Gints fan this afternoon

And of course, we have Vikes & Cheatriots, so I'm rooting for one last piece of Skylab to godrod the 50 yard line and wipe out both benches (hopefully without touching the bleachers)

Work sent us all a nice chocolate pecan pie.  So that'll be delicious later.

I have performed kitchen prep/cleaning duties and been banished by Mrs. Marble.  Turkey is about to go in the oven and side preparation is underway.

Guests arrive at two, turkey around 3. Two kinds of stuffing, the rest of the usual non-Southern accouterments (not a knock on Southerners, just that we are chowder-suckin' Yankees through and through when it comes to eating), multiple appetizers and pies and such.

\though I'm pretty sure one of my cousin's kids is bringing the unholy non-meat for her to eat

Speaking as a fan of the team what drafted him - he earned that reputation. He appears to have grown up quite a bit in the time since, though, and I'm glad to see it. Good on him.

I thought about doing a turkey but couldn't justify making that much food. My GF is in Dallas visiting her sister and I told her we could do a big meal next weekend with my kiddos.

I thought about doing a turkey but couldn't justify making that much food. My GF is in Dallas visiting her sister and I told her we could do a big meal next weekend with my kiddos.


I just did legs. As I cook for one, I just bought a pair of leg quarters last month and froze them separately. Took one out, seasoned, and tossed into the sous vide for 5 hours yesterday. A quick roast for 15 to crisp up the exterior and I had ~3 large portions perfectly cooked. Dinner last night, tonight, and one more for sammich on Fri

Can verify. I can't say Diggs was full diva, but he was definitely a disgruntled employee and let everyone know. I'm truly glad things have worked out for him and the Vikings in that trade.

Dinner is later because of the game this year, so I'm making a pizza for an appetizer. Made the dough from scratch, not brave enough to make my own sauce yet but I tweak one I buy.
