However, Bass still has not come out strongly enough on her past support of Scientology.  Her "I was not aware of the abuses of the church" defense is total crap.  It was 10 years ago.  Everyone knew long before that.

So it's tough to fully celebrate this until she shows that she's not going to be out there pandering to cults and churches, or giving religion undue influence in her decisions and policy.

When you start at the base of the pyramid, there's a lot more people scrabbling, a lot who will crab bucket you back down I they can, a lot.more push down from the top, and a hell of a lot further to climb.

She lost her progressive chops when she leaned into the "tough on crime" line almost everyone did this election, and her position on the unhoused and 41.18 are abysmal.
